According to Prince George County Police Lt. Paul Burroughs, the remains were discovered around 1:50 p.m. by a resident of the county near the 1300 block of Ruffin Road. It is near the dead-end of the road with the James River which is approximately between the county line to the west and the Benjamin Harrison Bridge to the east. Police sent the remains to the Virginia State Medical Examiner's Office in Richmond to assist with the identification of the body. "We weren't able to identify the remains," Burroughs said. "The medical examiner's office will definitely need to help with the identification of the body." |
