http://www.wawataynews.ca/archive/all/2011...ssing-son_20988 Family continues four month search for missing son Thursday January 27, 2011 Glen Wesley Wesley, also known as Panda Bear, went missing on his 28th birthday Sept. 15, 2010 when he walked away from the Northeast Mental Health Centre previously located on Highway 11 North. The family of Chapleau Cree’s Glen Wesley has been searching for him since he went missing Sept. 15, 2010 in North Bay. “We are very concerned for his well-being and his safety. He needs to be on his medications,” said his mother, Cecille Wesley. Wesley said her son has been off his medications since he went missing. The six-foot-three, 220-230-pound, 28-year-old man with black hair and brown eyes requires regular medications for his mental illness. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie jacket and black pants and is friendly and polite. “We don’t really know what Glen is thinking right now,” Wesley said. “He may be a little irrational, thinking he doesn’t want to go back to North Bay.” Wesley has received tips and sightings about her son from a number of locations across the province, including a possible sighting in New Liskeard Jan. 2. “So we went there just to check ourselves,” Wesley said. “We handed out missing posters and we even went to talk to the police and they said they would keep an eye out for Glen.” Wesley has also travelled to North Bay, Sudbury and Toronto to check out possible sightings. “It has been very expensive,” Wesley said. “There were no sightings of Glen in southern Ontario. We put up posters at the Salvation Army and shelters in Toronto, North Bay and Sudbury.” Wesley encourages her son to call home and let the family know he is safe. “You’re not in any trouble,” Wesley said. “Please call home and let us know you are OK. We love him and hope he is OK. And we miss him.” Anyone with information can contact the North Bay Police Service at 705-497-5555, the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1188 or the family at 705-360-1008 or 705-221-8502. |

There are plenty of questions, but very few answers in the case of missing 23-year-old Scott Wagg. “There's still no news,” says Tammy Wells, Wagg's sister. “We still have no idea where he is.” Wagg's family contacted North Bay Police Service earlier this month after their loved one failed to show up for a scheduled appointment on Aug. 14. Wells said the last time she saw Scott was about five weeks ago. There has been no contact since. “I just want him to let someone know he is okay,” Wells said. But what has her really concerned is her brother hasn't contacted any of his close friends. “That is very unusual,” Wells said. “He has friends everywhere. I don't know, did he go to Sudbury, Ottawa? He spent time in Quebec where he did his basic training, did he go back?” Wells described her brother as an avid jogger who is an all-around good athlete. “He's also great with kids. He always wanted to be a gym teacher.” North Bay Police Service describe Wagg as black with an afro-style haircut. He is about 5-foot-7 and 140 pounds. He also has a long scar on the left side of his forehead and a chipped front tooth. Wagg is one of several missing people in the area. Police are still looking for Luke Joly-Durocher, Robbie Aho, Glen Wesley and Daniel Trask. Joly-Durocher was last seen in downtown North Bay on March 4, 2011. Joly-Durocher's disappearance has been the subject of several searches, public appeals for answers and the launch of a $10,000 reward. Aho, 32 went missing in the fall of 2009 after leaving Land O'Lakes Trailer Park in Marten River, and Wesley, also known as Panda Bear, went missing on his 28th birth-d ay Sept. 15, 2010 when he walked away from the Northeast Mental Health Centre previously located on Highway 11 North. Trask, 28, of Waterloo, has been missing since Nov. 3. His car was found on Red Squirrel Road, near Camp Wanapitei at Ferguson Bay, after he was reported missing. His family believes he's in the Temagami back country. Anyone with information on any missing person case is asked to call police at 705-497- 5555 or you can remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 705-476-8477. j. hamilton-mccharles@sunmedia.ca http://www.nugget.ca/2012/09/10/missing-ma...mains-a-mystery |
