Though it's primarily a site about cars, Jalopnik.com deserves a place in this directory because over the years it has published "To Catch a Car," a series of articles involving photos of unidentified vehicles involved in crimes, and its members have identified the vehicles involved -- and even vehicle parts left behind in hit-and-run situations -- for law enforcement. If a vehicle I.D. was ever necessary for a MP/UID case, it might be worth asking Jalopnik to make an appeal to its readers. http://www.jalopnik.com ***** "Identify This Car And Help Catch The Type Of Guy Who Drops Dying Friends Into Dumpsters" (6-26-12) http://jalopnik.com/5921099/identify-this-...dium=socialflow "Police Arrest Murder Suspects In Truck Identified By Jalopnik Commenters" (4-19-12) http://jalopnik.com/5903407/police-arrest-...pnik-commenters |
