I noticed two cases of unidentified males on the Doe Network that are so similar that there must be a connection. Perhaps they are brothers.

The men were found in December 1980, in California, five days apart. They were found in the same county but in different cities. The physical description of each and their clothing are very similar--including the fact that they were both wearing "Foxy Brand Western Shirts."

Please check it out and let me know what you think! The cases are Hot Case 2245 and 994UMCA. Thank You! Leslie Rule

Leslie, good eye! I think this is actually the same individual with two reports, one of which must have an incorrect date of discovery and location found. You'll want to contact Doe Network about this so they can delete the erroneous file.

Two brothers dressed identically would be unusual enough, but the prominent right incisor tooth and a scar on the same elbow seem too much of a coincidence. I think there have been prior cases where Doe Network has accidentally listed UIDs twice and then removed them later. (I imagine it's because some of the UID cases were cold cases for so long, sometimes with the original police report missing, that information about them is vague to begin with.)

Case 994UMCA: http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/994umca.html

For what it's worth, NamUs has this individual's date of discovery listed as December 8 and his location found as Arcadia in the Angeles National Forest, not December 13 on Sand Canyon Road.

That's great that you found this, and welcome to Porchlight!
