. Thanks for using NamUs. I will attempt to have the family of Donnis view the finger ring in case UP 7228. I’ll keep you posted.

The family of Donnis is aging and can't remember about the ring. There is currently another unidentified woman whose DNA is being compared to Donnis' mother's DNA. If that comparison provides an exclusion, then we may attempt to exhume our Jane Doe for comparison (DNA) to Donnis.

Hi Ellen. An adequate comparison is not possible at this time as no dental information is listed for Donnis. Plus, while DNA profiles exist for Donnis, we do not have DNA data for our Jane Doe. We may get funding to exhume these old cases, and attempt DNA extraction, but that is not certain. One thing I will point out to you is that our Jane Doe was estimated to have died 3 to 6 months prior to recovery in 1965. Because Donnis was last seen alive in 1958, a 6 or 7 year window would have to be explained. Thanks again for using NamUs. BTW, this Jane Doe has a case file in NamUs (MP # 7228).
