Circumstances of Disappearance
Engstrom, a mother of twins, was last seen at 20:43 on February 20, 1994, in the 1300 block of Cleveland Street in Clearwater. The Clearwater Police stopped her for walking in the middle of the street.
Engstrom called her family two or three times a month. She has not telephoned her mother or seen her children since January 7, 1994.
Her mother reported Engstrom missing December 29, 1995. She told detectives that she last saw her when she took her to get a driver's license. That was in January 1994.

Engstrom has a criminal record. She was previously arrested in Pennsylvania and Massachusetts. Locally, she worked alongside and stayed with people who lived near North Fort Harrison Avenue.
Engstrom's record stops in February 1994. Authorities believe she fits the profile of other women who have been victims of homicide.
Engstrom disappeared six months before Ladonna Jean Steller was killed; the first of four Clearwater prostitutes who detectives think may have been victim of a serial killer.
Engstrom has ties to the Mckeesport, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and West Springfield, Massachusetts areas.
Foul play is suspected.
