Email I received from the coroner: This case was brought to our attention in 2003, but according to the MP flyer there are no dental x-rays for MP Kimberly Kahler, and there is not a DNA sample for our case 1980-11186. Unfortunately we can not rule this out as a possible match, but we can not confirm this as a positive match either, so this case remains open. I spoke with a detective in Los Angeles County last year about this case. She stated that the only indication the UID could be of hispanic descent was because the area in which she was found was predominately hispanic. I inquired if it were possible to obtain DNA from the UID and she said the remains had been cremated. |
