Missing Person HANSEN, Murray Oswald Parker Date Last Seen: 1964-10-30 Lake Winnipeg, Manitoba near Big Stone Point Age at Disappearance: 42 Date of Birth: 1921-12-08 Race: Caucasian Gender: Male Height: 6' (182.88cm) Weight: 166lbs (75.29kgs) Hair Color: Red Eye Color: Blue Distinguishing Features: Unknown Clothing Worn at time of disappearance: Grey socks, brown parka, grey tweed pants, black rubber boots, white and black coveralls File #: MB10031 89-3175 MB10067 89-4405 Agency: RCMP Additional Information: On October 30, 1964 at 1:00 p.m. Murray HANSEN left Berens River, Manitoba to go to Black River to deliver some items to a family member. At approximately 3:00 p.m. that day it started to storm and the water on the lake became rough. HANSEN planned to stay in Black River overnight and then return to Berens River. When 5 days passed and he hadn't returned home, his wife began to look for him and discovered that he had never arrived in Black River. On November 3, 1964 HANSEN's boat was found turned over near Bigstone Point and was approximately 100 yards from the shore. Searches were done by air, land and boat but the body of HANSEN was never recovered. Murray HANSEN is presumed dead due to drowning.
