Name: Found remains of John DOE

Location: Near Rosthern, Saskatchewan

Details: On May 26th, 1982, a body of a badly decomposed male was discovered floating in the South Saskatchewan River. The male was wearing Howick brand denim jeans, knitted polyester fabric trousers, Size 9 ½ Texas brand beige cowboy boots, size 34 grey belt, and a Size 34 Caswell brand black money belt. The male also wore a complete set of dentures and his appendix had been removed.

In July, 2004, the body of John DOE was exhumed and re-examined by a forensic anthropologist. The forensic anthropologist determined that the male was Caucasian, 40 to 50 years old in 1982, 5'10" to 6'0" tall and had a stocky build.

The skull of John DOE was sent to a RCMP Forensic Artist for the completion of a facial reconstruction. The reconstruction was completed in June, 2005.

Additional Information:
On the 26th of May, 1982, a body was found floating in the South Saskatchewan River near Rosthern, SK. The body may have been in the water for up to 9 months. All efforts to identify this person have failed. In 2004, the remains were exhumed and a further examination completed resulting in the above description of this person. This case is being investigated by the Office of Chief Coroner and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
