From Jerry NCMEC cold case director: Anne, thanks. We have been working for over a year on the "Bobby Copeland" as being Chester Wetmore. Timeline and distance fits. Most interesting is the drooping left eye of both the victim and Chester. Duane's eye shape is similar, but doesn't droop in comparision with his other eye. We finally ran down a blood relative and have DNA on Chester in CODIS. We have located the remains of the victim. There is more than enough to exhume, but we are in a tussle as to who will pay for it. We have in the past, but it is the responsibility of the ME's office and we have no money at this time. http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/662umfl.html http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/102dmfl.html |
