Skeletal remains found in Manchester

MANCHESTER, N.H. Police in Manchester (New Hampshire) are investigating the discovery of a human skeleton in woods in the city's south end.

The body was found by a neighbor who'd gone in search of a missing cat. Police got a call about the discovery yesterday morning and sealed off the area to conduct their investigation.

Police say the body was clothed but totally decomposed and must have been there for a long period of time. They say they don't know yet how the person died or whether the skeleton is male or female.

Police have been checking old missing persons cases but have not found a case that fits their findings. An autopsy is planned for tomorrow.
