![]() Jacki-Lee Walsh DOB: 18 Aug 1967 Height (cm): 159.0 /5'2 1/2" Build: Medium Hair Colour: Brown Eye Colour: Brown Complexion: Fair Nationality: Racial Appearance: Caucasian Date Of Birth: 1968 Age at Time of Disappearance: 21 years old Circumstances of Disappearance Jacki-Lee Walsh disappeared from Australia in 1989. Taking the first of two days off from her Kiama nursing-home job, Ms Walsh drove her fiance to work and then planned to go shopping with a girlfriend. But she never kept this appointment. Instead, her red 1970 Torana was found six days later in the car park of a hotel, the boot stained with a large quantity of blood. When tests proved the blood was Walsh's, a medical officer concluded that she had bled to death, possibly from a slashed throat. Inquiries revealed that Ms Walsh led a secret life, using and dealing in amphetamines. After dropping off her fiance she drove to a house and purchased 15 g of "speed", worth between $400 and $500. People at the house insisted she bought the amphetamines, took a hit and then left. It is not known how Walsh's car got to the hotel car park and despite an extensive search her body has never been found. New South Wales Jacki-Lee Walsh Location: NSW Australia The disappearance of attractive 21-year-old nurse, Jacki-Lee Walsh, sparked a flurry of headlines in 1989. Taking the first of two rostered days off from her Kiama nursing-home job, Ms Walsh drove her fiance to work and then planned to go shopping with a girlfriend. But she never kept this appointment. Instead, her red 1970 Torana was found six days later in the car park of a hotel, the boot stained with a large quantity of blood. When tests proved the blood was Ms Walsh's, a medical officer concluded that she had bled to death, possibly from a slashed throat. Inquiries revealed that Ms Walsh led a secret life, using and dealing in amphetamines. After dropping off her fiance she drove to a house and purchased 15g of "speed", worth between $400 and $500. People at the house insisted she bought the amphetamines, took a hit and then left. It is not known how Ms Walsh's car got to the hotel car park and despite an extensive search her body has never been found. In 1999, a decade later, police officers re-opened investigations into Ms Walsh's disappearance, pending a coronial inquiry. Anyone with information should call Warilla police (02) 4295 2699 or Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000. Information Source: Crimenet http://www.personsmissing.org/jackilee.html |
