Welcome. Universal Gaming has a number of rules and guidelines to ensure that this community remains an enjoyable and family-friendly environment for everyone. Therefore, please abide to these rules in all areas of the site as any violation of these rules may result in disciplinary action enforced by our staff.
In most circumstances, rule violation is handled with a verbal warning before any actual punishment is dealt, although the severity of the situation depends upon the actions staff take upon users of this site.
Etiquette & Posting
- Please do not request a staff position on this site, nor demand current staff members are removed from their positions. It is the discretion of Administrators only whom becomes a member of staff, and no one else
- The following content is not to be posted anywhere on this site unless done so in the manner stated. Inappropriate content is removed upon sight and the offending user punished as appropriate
- Profanity is to be kept to a strict minimum and must always be censored if ever used
- Ethnic, racial, religious, gender offensive, or any other discrimatory material in any form
- Sexual, hacking, or illegal related activities
- Rude, threatening or flaming behaviour towards any registered users or subjects within topics
- Submission of any private conversations unless permission is given by all participants
- Repetitive, useless, or one word posts, also known as spam. If you were the last to post, edit it rather than submit another post
- Personal information of yourself or any users of this site. For example email addresses, telephone numbers, photographs, IP addresses, and whatnot. Please use private methods of sharing personal information with other users
- If you wish to post large or multiple images within a topic, use links instead as this prevents slow loading times and even freezing for slower connections
- Ensure your topic is placed in the correct area, and does not repeat the same subject as a recently created topic
- Any topic older than 60 days may not be posted within without exceptionally good reason, as this is classed as spamming. Only topics within the Showcase Corner and Forum Games avoid this rule
- Do not backseat moderate anywhere on site. The reason we have a staff team is to deal with any situations on this site violating our rules. If you notice something that should be brought to the staffs attention, please use the Report Post feature, or send out a Personal Message
- Users are only allowed one account on this site. Discovery of multiple accounts will result in deletion of them without warning
- Staff should be respected in their decisions, however if you have a complaint, please direct it politely via Personal Message to an Administrator. Take note an Administrators decision is immediately final
- Attempting to bypass suspensions and/or bans will result in immediate punishment to all those involved
- All skin images and emoticons are not to be taken off this site! They were created exclusively for this forum by Moonface, and nowhere else. Doing so will result in account deletion if the offending person has one registered here
Signatures & Avatars
- Although signatures do not have a size limit in terms of pixels, any signatures causing slow loading times are not allowed, nor any containing flash, music, or large sized animations
- Keep content within signatures and avatars appropriate, and refrain from placing any flashing imagery within them
- Animated images may not be used if they cause slow loading times. Only small images with a minimal frame rate are permitted
Advertising & Site Links
- No user is permitted to advertising anywhere on site except profiles and signatures
- Any advertised website must be appropriate and not contain any content violating our rules
- Links to other sites are only permitted anywhere on site if it is not advertising, such as Youtube videos or news articles
- If you wish to affiliate with our site, you must follow these regulations:
- You are required to be staff on the requesting site
- You should be a regular member if registered on our site, and have been a member for at least 30 days
- All affiliate requesting sites must not violate our rules
- Do not affiliate to just take our members then close the affiliation, nor demand we give you anything. Our members join your site at their own choice, force is not allowed
- We are not inclined to accept all affiliations, and may remove them when we see fit
- To apply for an affiliation, please send a Personal Message to an Administrator
Blogs
- All members are allowed to create blogs on the following conditions:
- Each member are required to moderate their own respective blogs. If a rule is broken in your blog, you are required to fix it
- All blogs are to follow site guidelines. Failure to do so will result in punishment if not resolved by the blog creator
- Blog creators are contacted immediately by the Staff Team if an infringing subject is found within their blog. They shall then be given a limited time to fix this problem or face punishment
- If an overall trend of abuse is found from blogs, they will be disabled indefinitely
