ey guys, this thread was inspired by a friend of mine. (i know its on other forums as well, but he brought it up that it should be on Aa forum) one of my fav viet places is 'thy thy1' upstairs on victoria st, richmond. pros: the food is authentic, awesome, cheap and they have speedy service. awesome place to go with just friends to chill with cons: it's upstairs, and looks kinda dodgy. so wouldnt go there if it was for a formal occasion. post your fav eating places!

try these if you are bored in the city...all of them i rate and you all know me, im a cheap ass HAHA: Degraves St: there is this lil bread shop which sells baguettes for $4 and soup for $4. there are thousands of lil bread shops in this alley way but its the only one with asian staff. Minestrone soup and roast beef baguette CHEAP. Little Collins St (and exhibition st): Mr Lee's Bakery This place sells QUALITY viet bread for $5.50 including a can of coke. def beats that shit they used to serve at uni. Chinatown: DESERT HOUSE One of my friends recently confessed to me that they have never ever tried desert house in their life. and of those friends that have tried it, they got the wrong fucking dish. disgraceful. salt and pepper chicken on rice is the NUTS. if ur feeling like a baller, get fried rice instead of plain rice. there are no words to describe the satisfaction u get from eating this dish. NO WORDS. Exhibition St: J CAFE Quality japanese food made by REAL japanese zomg! however it is a tad bit expensive for the proportions they serve. croquette bento is my favourite. |
