Web hosting solutions are services offered by web development firms and allow business owners, individuals and organizations to make their website accessible via the internet. The service providers are companies who provide space on a server either for rent or for purchase and provide internet access. Web hosts can also provide data center space and connectivity to the Internet for other servers located in their data center and this process is called collocation. Web pages and small scale file hosting are the most basic and commonly used web hosting services. Many internet service providers offer web hosting on a small scale basis for free to the customers. For individual owners who wish to advertise their personal skills etc. on the internet, single page hosting might be more than enough as it doesn’t require any complex features. However, in the case of a complex site calls, you will require a more comprehensive package that provides database support and application development platforms such as PHP, ASP.NET etc. These facilities allow customers to write or install scripts for applications like forums and content management. A few types of available hosting services are as follows; free web hosting; offered by different companies with limited services.
