Plot Summary
The Ministry for Magic is getting paranoid. There's been some talk around town about the desire for the Statute of Secrecy to end and the globe to know about witches and wizards. The Ministry has started keeping tabs on some different people but they don't know what this new movement might mean for the world yet.

It was a beautiful windy day. Nice and cool but with a hint of coming winter. He had rather loathed winter time after that wench had made a rather long winter- years worth of winter until he and some others had taken her down. But that was a long time ago now, before his daughter had even been born. His daughter. Oh Merlin, his daughter! How were they going to tell her?

Tell her that she was about to become a big sister. Adrienna had only told him that morning and afterward, he had needed a long walk. A walk which he was still on. It wasn't that he was upset, he was actually quite happy. But their daughter was almost of age and now they were going to have another baby to look after! He wasn't sure he could handle it. But he was glad too, he felt like it was a chance to start over, fix his mistakes that he'd made with Addie by starting with a new baby.

Adrienna had been to a midwife healer just the day before, to confirm her suspicions. The midwife had confirmed she was about three months along and was due on the 18th of July. She didn't find out what gender the baby was yet because she wasn't sure if they wanted to know. His mind was still reeling from the shock. A new baby!

And what would his daughter think? Would she be happy? Sad? Confused? Abandoned? It was all so much and he was so afraid to mess up another child. He blamed himself for Adelaide and her apparent discomforts. She'd gone through a lot after he'd been in prison and she was still going through so much, especially with being almost of age soon. A lot of changes were happening to her and she didn't even know the biggest one yet.

And Adrienna, his dear wife, the pregnancy had already been rough on her. He felt guilty for not noticing the intense morning sickness she'd been having the past few months. She was up all night sometimes, just heaving and retching. He felt bad for her and vowed to make sure he took care of her. He'd already assigned one of the best house elves to wait on her hand and foot. He had done that when she was pregnant with Addie and failed to remember it had only done to annoy her. And she was 51 years old now too. That made for a rare, high risk pregnancy. The midwife advised her not to apparate, fly or use the floo network. Basically, she was confined to the castle now. The midwife would be coming to her on a weekly basis instead of her going to the midwife monthly.

It was all so much!

He sat down on a bench, sighed and put his head in his hands. Why now? Why couldn't they have had this baby back when she was younger and Addie was still a toddler? Why now? They'd wished for a second child for years but gave up once Adrienna had hit 45. Of course, him being in prison was a big turn off at the time but recently, things had been better for them romantically. Apparently so because he was going to have a new baby to show for all of that romance!
