![]() The Popcorn hour series of network media streamers are widely used for it having a great reputation of being able to play back almost every file format out there. I'm just starting to look at ripping my DVD collection to Popcorn Hour (A400) and I'm after a bit of advice. I don't want to compress the DVD data for Popcorn Hour in a lossy way. Reading around it sounds like my main options are either, ripping the DVD disc or DVD folder structure directly, ripping to MKV. By the way, if you got some DVD ISO files, you’d better convert DVD ISO to MKV or other common video before streaming to Popcorn Hour. That’s because we always use Popcorn Hour and a smart TV like Samsung TV in parallel, although Popcorn can support ISO but Samsung TV does not. A wise choice is to convert DVD, ISO to Popcorn Hour friendly video. How to Convert and play DVD/ISO on Popcorn Hour To accomplish the task, what you need is an intuitive tool that can rip DVD discs and convert DVD ISO files. The best program I can recommend is Brorsoft DVD Ripper. It can convert ISO/DVD to almost all regular video formats, including MKV, MP4, AVI, MOV, M4V, WMV, MPG, etc. If you are a Mac user, please turn to Mac DVD ripper, which has the same functions as the Windows (Windows 8 compatible) version. Now don’t hesitate to try the program and check out the guide below on how to convert DVD, ISO image files to Popcorn Hour step by step. 1. Add DVD files After downloading, install and run the program. Insert the DVD files into your computer's DVD drive and then click "Disc" icon to load your DVD files. You can also import ISO files, IFO files or DVD folder (DVD folders files name appear like "Video_TS") for conversion. ![]() 2. Choose output format Click the Format bar and go to the Profile column, choose MKV, AVI, MOV, MPG, etc as the output video format in the category of “Common Video”. ![]() 3. Start conversion After all the above settings, simply click "Convert" button to start ripping DVD/ISO to MKV for streaming to Popcorn Hour. Tips: Before the conversion, you can click "Edit" button to edit your videos by cropping, trimming, adding watermarks, etc. What's more, you can choose the subtitles and audio track for the target video on the main interface. After the conversion, just transfer the converted video files to your Popcorn Hour. In this way, you can watch DVD movies on Popcorn Hour at ease. P.S.
