Well, the choice is up to you. My UE cables also oxidised in quite a short period of time with the most obvious portion being those looping over the ear part. It is quite greenish now. I am also thinking of changing mine.
Check this out(A modded westone cable for UEs):

Jaben does sell UE cables. If you want those cables, you have to check with uncle wilson to see if he will bring them in. After that you will need a bit of DIY work to trim the connectors shorter(because westone connectors are slightly longer) or add some plastic to cover it up :)

Add some plastic? what do you mean? and trimming the cables sound dangerous man.. haha im a noob at DIY. but im sure interested in seeing whether Wilson can bring in the cables. if he does then ill prob get them and start modifying!

What I mean was that as the westone connectors are longer, there will be some part of the metal connector left exposed if you just attach the UE drivers straight to it. So to prevent corrosion of the metal, you will have to cover it up either by trimming it or cutting some plastic from your old UE cable and attaching it on the westone cable.
The link I provided had some info on how those people did it:)

If I'm going to do it, the easiest way will be to trim the Westone ES cable pin shorter. Adding plastic such as heat shrink will require you to heat the cable or even the drivers which I'm strongly against.
