The seller isn't even sure if he has the amplifier's box. I wonder how he treated these...

Ear coupling: circumaural *
* This indicates the headphone has an open enclosure, which allows sound to escape and to enter, but also doesn't constrain the driver's movement, allowing for a more accurate reproduction. It also doesn't suffer from resonance problems. The best sounding headphones in the world in terms of accuracy of reproduction and lack of distortion are open headphones. Open, circumaural cans provide a very comfortable listening experience, especially if you are in a quiet environment.

Does circumaural even mean "open"? What about Sony R-10, a closed-circumaural, widely considered to be the HE90's peer. Seems like he was just a collector then, or that he desperately wants to sell the HE90. It's unlikely, though, that his target audience would buy into his selling tactics.

On the bright side, the price seems rather reasonable, especially with the amp packaged in.

Yet another 'closet' audiophile, or a pure scam...
Something like that guy who tried to sell an almost new set of Baby Orpheus in both Head-Fi and SGHeadphones quite a long while ago.

I always wonder, for these people, does the receipt or the frequency response graph and specifications actually output the music, or do the drivers?
