It's the building opposite Funan center. Can't miss it really, it's on the same side as the church. |

Don't really think so... Even both unamped, I think the MylarOnes sound better. But each to his own, I know many who prefer um1s' smoothness and lack of fatigue and I love the um1's build and shape. |

I personally prefer the UM1 due to the forwardness, as compared with the MylarOne's perceived distance from the listener. However, it would really depend on your personal preference. Don't forget the fact that the UM1 is a whole lot more expensive than the MylarOnes. |

thx for the reply....btw i juz bought the mylarone earphones and at first using the small earbuds i felt the bass was abit weaker than my creative ep630, however after changing to medium sized earbuds it was better, becoz i always been using small size even for my ep630, so didnt know that mylarones medium ones could fit me at first.....btw also found that using mylarone earbuds on ep630 makes the sound louder n bass stronger too, maybe the white earbuds does improve the sound too....however using the ep630 earbuds on mylarone earphones actually doesnt cancel out the noise as well n even makes the bass weaker....hmm |

no, actually the mylarone is better, after using the medium size earbuds the bass is stronger, infact i find that ep630 bass was loud but mussy sounding, but mylarone bass was more clean |

The EP630 is considerably more "down and dirty" than the MylarOnes, placing sounds much closer to the listener and the emphasis on the bass (which is rather overwhelming at times, making it rather muddy). Give me the MylarOnes any time.

Here’s a little tip (no pun intended) on how to get a better seal from your Mylar Ones. One thing I have found is although these little beasties provide remarkable bass response it is often let down by the poor ear seal caused by the thin walled silicon tips. I have found a good seal is achievable but takes me a fair amount of mucking around to get it "just right". It didn’t matter which sized tips I tried (in fact the large ons gave me less bass than the medium or small) but think I have found a quick and easy solution to provide a good seal. Don’t laugh but it actually came to me in a dream the other night (probably watching too much Medium on TV...haha) Pity I don’t have pics right now to show you but what I did was remove the tip, insert a small rubber o-ring over the back of the tip and put back on again. The o-ring helps flair out the silicon tip a little while also providing support. This helps creating an air tight seal making them easier to insert. No more mucking around for me, just pop em' in and away I go. Comfort seems to be ok and have not noticed any increased ear fatigue since the installation. Give it a try if your having difficulties with the seal or are experiencing weak bass response... |

get a pair of bi-flanges, i assure you, the bass would be so much more powerful, with tons of slam and punch.the bi-flanges also gives a much better seal, and in my opinion, they are quite comfortable.

![]() Contributed by TopGun. These are the Bi-flanges which everyone is talking about. Basically it is a "2-umbrella" design which will give "2 walls" of isolation and seal. Do note that bi-flanges don't work out for everyone. |

I was looking at buying the Shure EC2 but after some reading on the internet, decided to check out the Mylarone. While I was in Singapore, I auditioned a number of IEMs at Jabens. Thx Mr Wilson for the excellent service. I heard some good ones and some overated ones. I have to say that the Mylarone are hard to beat unless you are prepared to spend a lot lot more. I didnt have the chance to hear the UM1 as there was only one faulty unit there that day. I did hear the UM2. UM2 didnt shine enough for me to part with my money although I must say the comfort fit is very good. All I can say is that if you are in the market for IEMs below $200, you owe it to yourself to check out the Mylarone. I like the even tone of treble and bass on the Mylarone although it lacks the air and space of other more expensive IEMs. If Crossroads can make this one more robust, they have a winner that will here for a long time. In the meantime I am happy with mine, I went home with 3 pairs (LOL, talk about kiasu, I have 2 spares in case of warranty claims - no down time, the music continues!).
