Hey guys, here's something that happened by coincidence, CUSTOMS for the tc20 or Mylarone.

Basically this is the Westone musican earplug, ES49 I made for my etymotic ER6. It fits wonderfully and really improves comfort and the soundstage. mylar customs

That is a great find Gahman! Now you get to enjoy the Mylars in a way no one else can!

hah! That's right. But now you know where to get one maybe I won't be the only one soon. ;)

The MylarOne is a value for money earphones.
It is so much better than the TC20 that i was 'lost' for 10-15 minutes listening to it, unamped, from my ipod video.
It has deeper bass, smooth mids/vocals and the highs/treble is impressive.
Anyone planning to get these should try it out themselves.
Don't just buy it because of the reviews or opinions of others. ;)

Yeah.

I have been listening to it for almost 24 hours. And I can say, the sound is getting better and better as it starts to burn in.

Kudos to Uncle Wilson!

Can I say my MylarOne is an oddity?

It's supposed to have more bass than the TC20, but I find it tightly controlled and just nice. When I tried my friend's MylarOne, the bass was horrendous. It was boomy, like the Superfi 5 EBs. :P

Was it the tips? Nope, mine was on medium and my friend's was on small!

I guess it is the tips.

I tried on every single tip and finally settled with the medium size.

I personally found the mylarOnes very decent for their price (totally beats the EP630), but still find them rather distant as compared to the UM1s and other headphones I tried.

Thanks Uncle Wilson for everything. :D

lol, i have the EXACT opposite ideas from aaron-xp. i found the mylar one BETTER than the UM1!

and not to forget the huge price difference between the 2, around 3 times the price!
now that i heard it, i must say it does sound like the TC20 with a bass boost!

hopefull there will still be stocks when i go next friday to finally get my first pair of IEMs, still cant decide whether the DTX50 is better or the Mylar one!!

and also thanks to uncle wilson, i have incredible difficulty in finding a pair of IEMs, at last i have found 2 pairs that i fancy! :D

All I could say is that, with the amount of money we have paid, it is definitely worth the value.

Really hope to see such good product being publicised and promoted to the general public. Because I bought a set for my friend, at first sight, he thought it is another "unrecognised" brand, but he is totally blew away when he starts listening to it.

If you are deciding between DTX50 and CR MylarOne, I will recommend you to go for MylarOne.

I have tried both, DTX50 bass is too much and the mids and highs fail to impress compared to MylarOne.

With the price of MylarOne and it's SQ, you won't go wrong. But once again, please listen to it for yourself. You have to like it in order for you to be happy to pay for it.

In the case of my brother in law, he has DTX50, after listening to my CR MylarOne, he still prefer DTX50. Why? Because he is a basshead.

I like the CR MylarOne so much, I am buying another 2 set next week, one for my friend.

Good thing is, Uncle Wilson is willing to reserve the 2 set for me till next week.

Thank you very much Uncle Wilson.

The bi-flanges were out of stock on v-day. I too, think that these are better than the um1s, if solely on the treble alone. Build quality however, 'made in the U.S.' is still the best.:D'

How many sets are left currently at Jaben? If it's already finished I'll have to go when the next shipment comes.

Even though I haven't heard the Mylar Crossroads yet,I'm so tempted by it already.

All the positive reviews, and I'm not a bass head so it might just suit me lol.

I'm starting to hate the double T10 combination.[iRiver T10 and OVC T10]

---------

Is the UE bi-flanges available at Jaben? My church friend just spoilt my bi-flanges I bought at SE the other time...

I was like lending him my mp3 and earphones and when I put the T10 back into my ears,I felt something weird. The bi-flange on the right wasn't really fitting the way it should so I took it out to take a look.My friend squeezed it so into his ears I see a tear on the right of the bi-flange.

Since I'm might be heading to Jaben to get the Mylar Crossroads I might be thinking of getting the bi-flanges(again) there too.

Hi,

Do check out with Uncle Wilson about the Bi-Flanges. ;)
And by the way, the MylarOne characteristic is deep and warm. Therefore I cannot be certain if the sound signature pertains to your likings.
Anyway, give it a try-out. :)
If impressing/being impressed is how it gets you around, forget it. It is not gonna happen.

Hi Hitsugaya,

Do not fret, the Mylars are still in stock, although selling really fast like hotcakes on a chilly winter night :D. If you drop by anytime soon, you should still be able to grab a pair.

If you are really interested in the bi-flanges, do try out the UE foamies too. Genocide said that the foamies gave a better fit.

Cheers.

Nah... Not that I felt the MylarOnes were lacking in any way, it just didn't have the overall smoothness in presentation as compared to the UM1 (bear in mind my MylarOne impressions are formed within one track, Tori Amos' Silent all these Years).

For their price though, they easily blow away competition which was available last year (think EP630). Haven't heard the TC20 yet.

I was never really a fan of any of the bi-flanges because they neither neither "here nor there" in terms of isolation and comfort(only TRIPLE flange for best isolation but least comfort), but I am pretty sure the foamies would provide a better seal and hence better isolation, and of course nothing comes close to the comfort of foamies/complys.

But of course, all ears are different and you might end up prefering the bi-flanges of course...

I think the um1 does sound a lil' smoother than the MO, but at expense of the treble. MO sounds excitingly raw, with a treble that's akin to the ksc75. Its just the sound I'm looking for in an IEM. Build quality however... sigh... sad story there...

Which is the foam..?

I really know nothing about IEM and the mylarone are my first IEM. But I would really like to get the foam if there is any for the Mylarone. I have always like that spongy feeling. . .

Hi please definite build quality, did it break apart or crack when you were testing/using it?
I was very curious when comparing with UMs "Made In U.S.A" & the only flaw i see is the cable which is not braided for those MylarOne.

Of course, we need to pay more inorder to have those lovely braided cables like those of the UMs.

i had mine exchange due to right driver on fri. According to some, it might be due to the amps. C&C and X1 is said to design for headphone therefore too much for TC20 or MylarOne to handle. I think, it better that you leave it as it is and not burn in the driver. I had my TC20 burn in before and the sound is bad.
