Hello guys! I'm going to purchase a Yamaha P70 digital piano, and also planning to get a headphone to use on it. Will really appreciate it if you guys can recommend me on a set of cans for this. Budget of around USD$100. Nothing too pricey. Thanks! |

Hi hoku, I have a keyboardist friend who has bought the Sennheiser 202 which he thought was good enough for listening and playback on the electronic piano. Give it a shot! Cheers! |

Sorry for my newbieness.. lol~, but is it this? Will a grados SR60 be a better choice? Read a couple of reviews raving about them. |

For instrument monitoring and playback, I suggest that you should use the Closed-back headphones. The SR60 is an open headphone used for music playback only, not for any monitoring application. From the Sennheiser range, I would recommend Sennheiser HD201, HD202, HD205, HD212 Pro and eH250 for the purpose of instrument monitoring. |

last question.
Will Sennheiser HD 205 be much better then Sennheiser 202? Is it worth the 2x price of 202? |

I think you will have to look on the specifications on the 2 headphones this time.
HD 205 Supra-aural Ear Cups Dynamic drivers, Closed Frequency Response : 14Hz - 20,000Hz Impedance : 32 ohms Max SPL : 112 dB HD 202 Semi-circumaural Ear Cups Dynamic drivers, Closed-aire Frequency Response : 18Hz - 18,000Hz Impedance : 32 ohms Max SPL : 115 dB Personally I have heard from my friend's HD 202 headphone. I think if you are in demand for very deep lows and warmth, you will prefer the HD 212 Pro as compared to the other. I have not heard from the HD 205 and therefore I will not lay any comment on the headphone. From what I have gathered from their description, the HD 205 seemed to have better attenuation to ambient noise. It also comes with a travel pouch which is desirable. Rotatable cups is another plus point if you ever need to do sound check. |

Hi, I've tried the Sennheisers HD205 before and I'm quite impressed with the sound for the price. However, they are horribly uncomfortable because of their small cups and tight fitting headband. |

Hi Hoku, The specifications could be found in Sennheiser website. Please refer here. Supra-aural Ear Cups : the ear cups on rest on the ear itself. Circum-aural Ear Cups : the ear cups covers the entire ear/rest on sides of the head. Semi-circumaural will then mean : ear cups covers the entire ear, rests on sides of the head but sits very close to the ear. (small ear cups) |

I don't really mind paying more for quality if its gonna last me like 5 years, sounds really good and such. [Moderator Edit: Posting of pricing is not allowed in the forum.
