for those who have the FC-7 and the LDM+, please please try them put together..... the main complain about the FC-7 is that it is overly bassy and the details are muffled and unclear, pairing it with the LDM+ changes all that soundstage is increased by a tremedous amount, the bass becomes less bloomy, and whacks hard and fast in bass heavy bands like motley crue and iron maiden. drum kicks are unbelievable!!! more details came out and you can separate the different instruments playing, which was totally impossible for the unamped FC-7 so all of you people who have the required gear to do the test, go ahead, i am sure you will have a pleasant surprise!!! amping really does a significant bit for this pair of headphones! kinda reminds me of the OVC-TC20, the price is similar, but with an amp, they really kick ass. heck this pairing gave my akg 81's a run for their money and the fc-7's are like half the price......... note: using stock IC(anticipating the sound when i use the mumba )

This is rather interesting, given that I do own a HQ1700, which is a close cousin of the FC7. Have you tried it with any other amps? |

tried it a second time. this time with PCDP and a more critical ear details wise, large improvement, but still lacking behind the akg. the amp also made the headphone sound abit brighter, which i totally applaud, i always though the cans were too dark. bass-wise however, the FC-7 gives the AKG a good run for its money, the LDM+ has worked wonders in reducing the bloominess, and is much tighter and much stronger, rather than an increase in quantity, its an increasing in quality WITHOUT compromisng quality! a rather nice tongue-twister dont you think?
