a short journey through the worlds of headphone

After a short but arduous journey through the world headphones, I realise that I really like the Alessandro sound signature!

I have an AKG501, despite being excellent in its own ways, fail to elicit the emotions and feel I used to associate with music. It is exceedingly clear and the soundstage is expansive, but I feel I'm often listening to the 501 rather than the music.

Upon trying out my friend's MS-1 and 2, I just had to rush down to Jaben, only to find it closed :P

With all good luck, I'll try Grados as well since Alessandros are based on Grados after all.

Wish me luck in my journey to find my own headphone nirvana. :gradowood: :P

I guess Uncle Wilson opened late today, you should give him a call before you head out the next time round.

Actually I share the same sentiments with you. I find the K501 excellent for classical pieces but play some vocal intensive pieces through it and it somehow doesn't feel right.

Good luck on your journey to headphone nirvana. =]
People call me things like nuts, crazy and insane, I just tell them I am very serious when it comes to my hobbies.

What the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.

The most important thing in this hobby, sit down with a nice drink and enjoy the music. =]

I'm a happy owner of the MS1. Very good value for money. Just that you have to change the pads.....
