hi all I'm curious on new white K530. has anyone tried them or bought them? Aron claims it can be driven sufficiently by an iPod. ![]()

Hi erricssan, Im afraid because the k530s are pretty new release, few people here would have actually had an audition...heck I couldnt even find their specs/graph over at headphone.com. Why dont you drop by arons and try it for yourself, Im sure he would oblige... Besides, being "driven sufficiently" to one might not mean the same to another pair of ears... edit: Looking up its specs, it sure looks like a portable wouldnt have a problem powering them, but "driving properly" would be an entirely subjective matter...Im also unsure if you need all 3m of the full headphone cable with your portable... good luck and listen well... |

I've heard the k530, and frankly, I felt they were terrible. The build quality and fit of the headphones are totally wrong and the plastic just feels cheap. The trebles were constricted and the bass was loose, IIRC, but it might be due to under-amplification through my go-vibes. Whatever it is, I felt it was just not good enough for its price and to stand up to previous models. Btw, its made in china as most of the lower end akgs are currently manufactured in... Hopefully not the k601/701

Nah... The K601/701 are still made in Austria, and I doubt that would change anytime soon (so long a fire, like that which struck Sennheiser's Irish plant, doesn't happen). |
