Its the 1 and only recabled earbuds which is made by our fellow D.I.Y Guru, QSilver_2001. Not forgetting the famous L-shape Neutrik Mini Plug which is specially requested by me.

Using the same material as the recabled Koss KSC75, the sound signature is rather close. This is where i lost the original sound signature of the e-888 which bright and sparkling.

After recabling, there is much much more details which i cant hear before modding and the soundstage was much wider than before. The mids is no longer "hollow" and now it gives out a forwarding and thick filling sensation. The Bass is no longer thin feeling, It gives out more slam and depth, sounding like a headphone. However the highs which is very sparkling is no longer there, it is slightly duller and i hope that the highs will get better after burning in.

P.S: Using Sony Ericsson k750i(2megapix) with k800i's camara firmware(to reduce noise) & excuse me for my lousy shots as usual.

Very professional looking, especially at the Y-split section. Is the L-plug available at LHS? How much for one?

I have heard Qsilver mentioning that it was an absolute bitch to get them 'phones recabled, so it's a strict one-off as a favour to Ahdui.

No harm trying, though :P

Yeah it's a bitch to recable plus the 888 is rather delicate. However I found lizt wire to be the good in terms of flexibility and sound. I used a faulty Senn HD-600 cable cut off the senn plugs. Of course you could buy a Senn HD-600 cable and DIY. But it aint an easy job soldering litz to the tiny 888.
