http://www4.head-fi.org/forums/showthread....t=208656&page=2 For the Senn fanboys. Although it's speculation but it seems like Tyll from Headroom and seacard have managed to find out the launch date of Senn's possible new flaship cans (not sure if this is old news though) |

2008 is a rather long way to go. It'll be exciting though, given that the HD700 seems to be neither a dynamic nor electrostats headphone. Time will tell though, this is pure speculation. |

Cost, availability, etc. Besides, the HD700 (maybe the HD 696 etc) would be the flagship of the non electrostats range, guaranteeing that it would be a very good dynamic/planar/piezo/any other technology headphone, whereas the HE60 would just be an electrostatic headphone which is second to the bigger brothers. |

Yup, Senn won't be getting much revenue if they are to only manufacture limited and crazily priced cans. Imagine if they had mass produced the Orpheus, they would have gone bust! |

Besides, the Orpheus was more of a showcase of what Sennheiser is capable of doing. The HD series is what Sennheiser can do, at a decent profit margin. |
