Think this may not quite possible to rank headphones, as everyone have their preferences and use their gear for different music genres and use different rigs. Perhaps list of prices of headphones, but who is to stick out the neck and say which brand or model of headphone is best, or better than whichever one.

Music appreciation is personal and subjective, I feel. My 2 cents worth. Btw, I am no expert. Just a simple music lover.

Top headphone?

Orpheus, Omega II, K1000, Qualia 010, R10, L3000 or UE10 pro. (I know, it's a rather long list)

I doubt anyone would argue that a headphone outside that list is the top headphone.

Apart from that, it's mostly personal choice.

Haha. Forgot. :P

Nice headphones you're getting there.

Perhaps the GS1000 and MS-pro should be amongst the tops also.

Don't forget grado HP-2 ;)

I believe this will be an endless list..

I would say you need to add in the KOSS ESP950 (ahdui), the Joe Grado HP-1000 series that consisted the HP-1, HP-2, HP-3,the Alessandro MS-Pro, the Sony SA5k, the Ergo AMT2, vintage electrets, vintage electrostatic headphones, the ... the ..., it's never-ending.

Saw the Never-Ending Story? Haha... :)

That's how it goes, we all have different preferences, and to some, even the Grado SR-60 can be the top of the world. It depends.

Some even praise the iBuds and would gladly swap their $5k headphones for an iBud.

Choice, choice and time is all we have. ;)

Choose wisely and listen to your heart's calling on which type of headphones that YOU like, and I cannot stress on this any furthermore.

It's your ears and it's up to your brainwave patterns to decide.

Returned it, and got an instant replacement. Great now. The shop was something like "Alpha Audio" in Sim Lim Square.
