saw a review for these phones, apparently even though they use the same drivers as the SR60 they sound much worse. but decent cans in their own right. i dont think these street style headphones. comes across as neither here nor there. like a fashion statement gone wrong or something haha. but thats just me.

What member?
|
hmm...given that they sport the same drivers, only with a different housing, $70 is IMO a great price considering the SR60 to be $120+ or thereabouts... genocide, do fill us in with your impressions after you have spent some time with them. |

Pics pics (decent ones) I want.. Mmm... picture whore me am! Yeah, agree with Fongalv, but there's this tiny possibility that it may not sound entirely the same as SR60 but given the same drivers, I would expect them to perform around the same. Does it have the Grado signature, genocide? |

Judging from the responses at headfi, it doesn't have the typical "grado" sound. Rather, it's bassy and, well "street-style".

I'm curious to try these too... I saw them at Music By Design, but it was already closed. The Grado sound is anything but bassy. I want to try these out... |

Think I will head down during lunch hour tmr or else on Sat after my model shoots
Btw, I have seen some threads in Head-Fi where the used Sennheiser PX100 ear pads in place of the stock grados. |

Does it make the sound any better? |

The pad makes it more comfortable I think. There's a mod to remove a certain lining inside the housing to make the highs more forward. Check head-fi for the mod. |

It's more of the bang-for-your-buck value than the absolute quality. I doubt a street-style Grado can beat the real stuff. |
