His impressions didn't come as a surprise at all! I'm pretty sure they'll sound good in 99% listeners' ears. :P

It's still my dream custom IEM, and probably will be (until something better is released). Just too bad that even if I won a lucky draw now, I can't use it. My ears will outgrow it really soon.

Agreed, though the final 1% is really vocal about it.

heh, as soon as I saw the copy of this month's issue of Stereophile I got it, since the UE10 reviews (other than Head-Fi that is...) are hard to come by. Actually someone like Wes Philips reviewing the UE10s is a good thing, since he has the experience so to speak. Expected the UE10s to perform well, and as Wes says it himself, at USD900 (w/o impressions cost) they'd better be! B)

Actually kinda think of it, with $USD900; i would rather use the money to upgrade my home rig. But then again, i doubt few would not want those ue10 pros unless you are anti-IEMs.

To cruise: I saw a few copies of stereophile in HMV Heeren, IIRC they cost slightly under 20 bucks.

Cheers

ouch!~

same here, i would rather spend them on headphones.. (since they have more "weight" than those tiny IEMs, at least u get to see ur money worth with some bigger things.. no offences IEM gurus heh..) like K1000 thou they are out of production.. wondering whether Uncle Wilson is willing to sell his pair.. heh..

Scanfiend: Oops, i didnt noe, cos i had some irregular connection going offline/online.. maybe i pressed twice..
