My brother just bought the Wii Fire Emblem game. On a scale of one to ten, how hard is the game. Let's call FE8 a 1 and a "Impossible" a ten. Where would you rank it. FE is the only strategy series I suck at. ALL other strategy type games I can master quite quickly and dominate. I just plain suck at FE and I don't know why. As you all know, I thought FE8 was difficult on EASY. So, should I even bother? XD. |

Lower number is for a playthrough with stat boosts, higher number is for a playthrough without. EM: 3 (Part 1 is much harder than the rest of the game so don't give up if you're dying early on. This goes for all modes). NM: 5-6 HM: 7-9 |

I don't care what Disney says or does, Luke/Mara Jade is canon and always will be. Proud owner of 1028 internets. Has pleaded the fifth 8 times. | |

In that case, I'll give it a try if I have time, which I might not, since my college semester is starting on Monday and I finally found a job. Thanks for the reply. At the least, I'll warn my brother about the early game. Wait if part one is harder, why do you have it at a three and the rest of the game higher? |

I think those stand for Easy Mode, Normal Mode, and Hard Mode. Not specific parts of the game. |

I think Kijo is right. If you suck at Fire Emblem, I strongly recommend easy mode for FE10, as it can be pretty tough. The first part is ridiculously hard on anything but easy. I actually gave up on and deleted my hard playthrough in part one because of the difficulty, even though it meant playing through again before I could get the second playthrough bonuses. And Roy is absolutely right; if you can get through the first part, do so, because the rest of the game is much easier; I would actually say that overall, the game gets easier with each part. The game is such a sigh of relief after getting through part one; I hate just about everything about that part; the story, the fail of the Dawn Brigade and the relative toughness of the enemies. The only saving grace of part one is Micaiah's legs, which, sadly, are covered. Also, many people have bashed FE10 for its story, though those are also pretty much just the usual FE trolls saying that. I know you're pretty big on story, so I'll warn you now that there are a lot of people who hate on the game for it, though they could be just joking around. I personally really liked the story and FE10 is my favorite FE game to date. If it weren't for part one and the strange feeling that I almost have to use the nearly same team each playthrough, I think I'd be close to calling the game perfect. It'd be better with less Ike, and with better executed plot twists. Ike serves almost no purpose in the game other than to show off. And I don't think I need to go into detail about a certain revelation right around the beginning of Part 4. You know what I'm talking about. Most fail plot twist ever. |

You like the plot twist about that involves a certain cat and a certain someone's identity? |

Cat? I'm not sure what you mean about that though I think I know what you mean by someone's identity. I like pretty much anything from the story that doesn't happen in part one though. |

The cat that tells the gorilla-on-steroids about he-who-must-not-be-named. That plot twist. The lame one that 90% of gfaqs saw coming, but no one expected the horrendous way that it was revealed. That's as specifically-vague as I can get without using any names. |

Oh, I think I got what you're talking about now. Yeah, it could've been more dramatic; I can't say I hated it, but I didn't like it a whole lot either. Someone once said that the supposed gorilla-on-steroids really isn't all that big when compared to athletes we see. I can't really say either way, myself. What's wrong with him being big though? I think he looks better big, TBH. Is it about how fast he got big? Given what I believe he spent some time doing, I don't think it's unreasonable for him to get that big either. One of the big things about that is that he looks entirely different. He was swinging swords before, but it's only now that he's suddenly super buffed. It looks like his facial structure has also changed, which shouldn't happen no matter how much he's been working out. And he looks like a gorilla before promotion. |

Well I guess he did change his appearance quite a bit; probably too much. I prefer his new look though. |
