Modern girls just don't agree with dresses, or so it seems to me.  Dresses seem to be almost exclusively for movies and TV shows and the like, and just don't have much place in reality.  Either that, or pretty much all of the girls that I know well are tomboys.

Most teenagers won't wear dresses.... Myself included. There's really no reason to wear them at this age.

And heels should be ILLEGAL!

I was seriously thinking about a letter to congress or something asking to make it illegal for schools to require high heels for school events.

ulthor the school has a tradition where they do this dance and its been going on for idk how many years so basically if you want to graduate you have to do it. even if it wasnt required, the nazi would make me do it.

So when did you sign on to have to do this to graduate. What about the part of sexual harrasment. Legally you have the power to force all the guys to look away. I have a few more things that could be illegal.

Sexual harassment? They're shoes, not sex toys. That sounds ridiculous. It's apparently a tradition, I highly doubt the tradition is in any way related to pedophilia. Well, pedophilia by US laws, 14 is legal here.

I think you're getting a little too serious over shoes, maseck.

He might have a point there...not just because of the shoes, though. The fact that they are put on display in front of the boys wearing dresses could be taken as sexual harrassment. Sure, its far-fetched, but he has a small point.

It is far-fetched, which is my point.

I don't think it's done for anyone's sexual gratification, which is why labelling it as sexual harassment is such a silly sounding idea to me.

True, true, but if a girl feels that way, she could refuse to participate.

I wonder, I wonder if you have the rights to engage on this issue. I'm not sure what the child's rights restictions are. I know that most young teens can't sign a full felged contract without parental help and going on the offence with law requires contracts. I wonder if certian things like this don't require much... stuff.

Well you can refuse to do this and if the school trys to keep you from graduating your parents would go trigger happy. It only works if there was no meanies forcing you to sign stuff. Personally, I wouldn't risk the chances. I just want to laugh at what happens to a school that presists in this type of cruelity.

I'm just a little curious what you can do but I'm not asking you to do anything.

I doubt there's anything to sign for this. But she could refuse to participate.

It'd be an overreaction. Calling it sexual harassment and refusing to do it would result in looking ridiculous and becoming a laughingstock. It's not just a legal issue, it's a matter of social status as well; after all, everyone's doing it.

It's for Middle/Junior High School graduation, right? Huh, I didn't even have much of a "graduation" to speak of for Middle School...

You wish you had your female classmates pole-dancing for your Middleschool graduation, Virus?

Actually, I was just thinking that all the other schools are making an unnecessarily big deal out of something like middle school graduation. But now that you mention it...
