...the fifth Harry Potter movie last night. I'd never seen it before, largely because I hated how they butchered GoF. Luna is my absolute favorite HP character and I had a funny feeling they would butcher her completely. I was pleasantly surprised. The script stayed quite true the character and the actress who plays her was amazing and perfect for the part. Bellatrix's character was also done perfectly, more so than most of the other characters in the series. I"ll be watching the first part of it later, but warn me if I'm in for a bad time, please. I was never a huge fan of the HP movies, for reasons I listed above. |

Well, the special effects are fantastic, the adult actors are great, and they do their best. However, they do fall short on some aspects of it. Luna is PERFECT in GoF. She's loony, indeed. |

They do. I actually hate it when they add in things that weren't there in the first place like the entire epic duel Harry had with the Horntail being fought around the whole grounds. It was undenialy awesome, but was completely unesscerary. I was also pissed that Quidditch World Cup was cut, that could have been avoided by simply splitting it to two movies. I even nitpicked Durmstrang and Beauxbatons coming at the start of term rather than Halloween. Luna wasn't in GoF. But I know you meant OotP. She was perfect. |

The fifth HP movie is surprisingly decent, aside from a few awful parts. Go ahead and see it. |

I don't care what Disney says or does, Luke/Mara Jade is canon and always will be. Proud owner of 1028 internets. Has pleaded the fifth 8 times. | |

I thought it actually did a great job, and I didn't really notice many changes at all, though it may be partially because it had been so long since I read the book. There are some changes made to the DA scenes, though... However, it wasn't completely butchered like the 3rd and 4th movies. Seriously, they NEVER explained why Lupin knew about the ****ing map! How could they leave out a detail that important?! |

Because they're idiots. That's all I can think of. Seriously, they should have split the longer books into two movies! They would have gotten way more money. |

Like I said, don't drink anything beforehand. I had one drink halfway through Fellowship, and went between the end of TT and the beginning of RotK. |
