I have an issue with my ms word program- anyone know how to fix it? When I highlight words, (i.e. ctrl+A) and hit backspace, the words don't delete themselves. They're supposed to... but it doesn't work... anyone know what I have set wrong and how to reset it? |

That sounds pretty weird. Is it just MS Word that the backspace button isn't working in? I don't know what could be wrong given what you've said. If you can't figure out what to do though, the delete key should work the same way. |

The delete key works, and the backspace key works. I just can't highlight a word and delete it with backspace... it works with delete. I can highlight and delete a word with backspace on the internet, too... it's just MSW. |

Is getting help really that important? I mean, the delete key works, just use that. It is a bit inconvenient, but still, moving your finger an extra inch shouldn't be too much of a big deal. It'd be a bit easier for me to help if I could go there myself and take a look. |

<_< Damn. It's just really annoying, because I'm trying to type... and I can erase properly. |

If you have it on, there should be three letters: OVR highlighted near the bottom of your screen. Turn it off with the insert key. |
