Anyone here play the .Hack// games? They look pretty cool, and I wanna get someone's opinion on them. I think Virus does, because that one mod pic you have is of a character from it. |

Yep, I play .hack. They're pretty fun games, IMO. The newer .hack//GU series is also a LOT more fun than the original .hack 4-part game series. The battle system got a massive overhaul, the graphics are way better, and the main character is less bland and generic. The .hack games have a pretty good story, but it's a bit confusing, too. There's also a few .hack animes, which sort of serve as a background for the games. The anime .hack//roots is closely connected to .hack//GU, and a few of the things in Volume 2 are confusing if you haven't watch Roots. Thankfully, Roots is up on youtube, which is where I watched it. |

Well, what type of game is it? Is it a button-mashing fighting game, a FF type formula, puzzle, that sort of thing. |

It's like an adventure-RPG. You control the main character and move around 'The World', which is probably the most popular online game in the .Hack world. You contorl the main character in battles as well, and move around attacking enemies. The battle system is not turn based, and there's not really much puzzles in the game. The game isn't too hard IMO, but there are several super-mega-overpowered bosses that are bonuses. |
