So everyone loves them. Fire Emblem 1 was actually the first one. And also, ones more known today came from a game in my favorite series of all time - Ogre Battle. Without Tactics Ogre there would be no Final Fantasy Tactics. Good read: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tactical_role...-bit_Generation I highly encourage those interested to try this game: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tactics_Ogre This is what FFT was based off of. The same basic engine. FFT made some alterations and editions but this is the original. The story is amazing. The gameplay is amazing. The difficulty is INSANE. I've still not beaten it. But it ranks in my Top 10 List. The graphics suck, but you'll get used to it. I'll bet everyone hear likes to do this: Move a character and check to see if your attack will be worth it, if not reverse the move. You can't in this game. Once you move a character you can't REVERSE it. Well, my speil is over. So remember - Thank Fire Emblem and Ogre Battle for the games you all enjoy today! *mutters darkly to self in corner about the most underated series of all time* |

I've never played Tactics Ogre... I'll have to try it some time. |

I very much doubt it. I should also mention that many of the same people that worked on this game also worked on FFT. FFT is a "spiritual sequel" to TO. |

I looked at the screenshots and did a doubletake. Wow they look similar. I'll have to browse around and see if I can find a copy. |

Yup, same engine. Near same staff. It is by far the most difficult game I've ever played. It beat me, not the other way around. I plan to go back and play it eventually. It's very rare so you'll need luck to find it - but it's worth it. Also, you can control up to 10 characters at once plus guests. The enemy is also limited to ten. So it's not 5 of you verus 15 of them like FFT. But it's harder, the enemies always have better equipment and the height advantage. Bows do uber damage from high elevations. |

Is Tactics Ogre: The Knights of Lotis any good? Being for the GBA, I'd think it would be at least a little easier to find. |

Yes. It's a prequel to TO. It tells the backstory of an important character in the PS1 one game - I won't say who. Suffice to say if you play TO first and then KoL, the ending of KoL will surprise the HELL out of you. It's a very easy game though (like FE8 level difficulty). Instead of speed-based movement like in TO and FFT you move all 8 of your characters then your enemy does. It has some cool extra features but the class system is a bit small. But overall it's one of the best GBA games I've played. If you play KoL, then TO the whole game of TO will surprise you. |

OB64 has a unique style of gameplay. It may not be for everyone, but it appeals to me. |

I have no specific style of gameplay (though my favorite are the Tales games sorts, BK was fun to.) So I will do well with it. |
