I remember this topic back a long time ago on GF, I really liked it. But it died after a while I wanted to revive it here. ^^

I'll post mine as a sort of example. It kinda sucks however.

Full Moon Temple

Dungeon Background:
Long ago in ancient Hyrule the people consider the moon to be sacred, always hovering above the world without falling and crushing them all (of course this doesn't take place in MM hehe..) always in battle with the sun over rule of the sky. They considered the sun to be an entity of light while the moon an entity of darkness. Ancient Hylians created a shrine to which they offered items of great worth to the entity so he would not destroy them. The items drew thieves and bandits, so the ancient Hylians built clever traps and puzzles to keep them out. They used a special song to seal the temple, a song that only they knew. As time passed, the Hylians forgot about the moon shrine and the song that unsealed it's riches. It became nothing more then a myth, temple abandoned and forgotten. Ganon learned of the items, and yearned for them. But even the great ganon could not open the temple without the song. He revived dead bandits already within the shrine, and those surrounding it. He kept this up for years, hoping that the elder will tell Ganon of the melody. But alas, he didn't know his self. Link was attracted by rumors of Ganon being there and when he arrived he found the town in dismay, skeleton fiends attacked buildings. Thousands, so many. Too many for even Link to handle his self. He cut a path to the mayor's who was miraculously still living, he told Link of the ancient myth's of the unenterable temple just off the north of town. Along with a rumor of a weapon to destroy all evil and undead with a single blow. Link quickly rides north, upon entering the grounds of the temple a sprit speaks to him.

"Please.... help us.... we want to sleep... Please... I learned the Sonata of Seals that opens the door to the temple... I learned this before I was slain inside the temple... This is how it goes. *Sings the song* Please hurry.... A great demon houses the spell of the evil Ganon please defeat it...

Dungeon Appearance

On the outside it's a large church-like shrine made of a black stone with designs of the full moon engrave on a lot of parts of the outside. An empty doorframe stands in the middle of the front side, if anyone who doesn't play the song before hand tries to enter a magical force feild propels them back. The first room is made of a light yellow stone with black designs of the moon in certain spots, three doors one leading left the next right and the one straight. The left and right doors are locked and a blue stone sphere resembling the moon blocks the left door. The next room is and the rest are purple with a yellow designs of the moon on one of the walls or the ceiling, there is only one each room all of them full and in a different spot then the last. The ground throughout the dungeon is are a same shade of yellow as the moon. The final room is pure black except for a large moon that illuminates the floor which allows you to see the boundaries of the room. Moon stones are littered around the temple in places you can go only after getting the item inside. One floor.

Type of puzzles

The first few rooms are the basic "kill all monsters" or "block puzzles". But the farther you get the more difficult it gets. The puzzle to the room where the mini-boss and item are consists of deciphering a complicated riddle and playing a song that represents it.

"Always in a battle over territory,
It still finds time to help,
Whether it helping the farmers in there duties
Or allowing the peasants to awaken from sleep,
Though you may not look it's way or you shall feel pain"

Answer: Sun/ Sun's song

Then after you get the item there is puzzles that can only be solved by using the item. You need to play the Sonata of Seals to open the door to the final room after you use the master key to enter the room before hand. The room with the master key has a hidden eye you must shoot to unleash the second miniboss, you need the eye of truth see the eye. After you kill it the master key chest appears.

Item inside

Sun Lance
Get it after killing the mini-boss. It's power is a little less of that of the master sword. It's reach is longer than Biggoron's sword. Kills every undead in an single hit excluding bosses and such. Destroys Moon stones like the one in the beginning room. Instead of swinging it's thrusting, 2 forward and one up. It's a bright yellow large spear that takes 2-hands to hold. The end of the spear has a design of the sun and the point is made of gold.

Goal

Get the Sun Lance and use it to break the moon stone in the first room, after you do so you have a choice of 4 rooms 1 on the left 2 on the right. 1 straight ahead being blocked by a large stone door. Go through each door to find 3 rooms each with a different puzzle. Left, block puzzles with a half moon above the doorframe. Right, Kill the enemies with a crescent moon above the door. Bottom right Moon stone puzzles with a new moon above the doorframe (in blue). At the end of each you receive part of a song, after you get all 3 you play them in the order the moon goes. New, Credent, Half. Then revealing the next room with a master lock that leads to the boss' room.

Types of enemies

Mostly undead. Plus a lot of undead gerudo's, kill them like you would an other Gerudo. There guard is not as strong as a living one and can be easily broken with a few hits of the sword or lance, lance kills them 1 hit, swords take 3.

Miniboss 1- Gerudo chief
He looks like a gerudo, except it's a guy. He uses one sword instead of two. Use your shield to block and attacks when he is about to attack or right after you attack. Not really hard at all if you get hit he takes away 2 hearts at once. It should take around 7 hits to take him out. His pattern is roll ,attack ,roll ,jump attack and repeat. Hookshot can stun him so can deku nuts only, when he drops his guard though. After he's dead the sun lance's chest will appear.

Miniboss 2- Gerudo Archer
She's harder to kill than a normal gerudo. She will try to keep a steady distance and will shoot you while moving. She is near impossible to hit unless you back her into a corner. It is best to wait until she uses a fire arrow at you that she'll use when you leave her alone to long, after she uses it she will be vulnerable to a dekunut of hookshot. 5 hits or one if you already have the lance. Only can be seen with eye of truth, there is respawning pots full of magic energy around the room. After she dies the master key's chest'll appear
Boss

Entity of Darkness- Luna

It's a large pure black beast with two boney wings coming from the back, demon red eyes and large claws. Spikes growing out of his shoulder and knees. About 10 feet tall (basically a stereotype demon).

To begin, he first will shoot his spikes at you these are easily dodged. After dodging so long he will slash at you with his claws after he does 3 or 4 times he will pause for a moment. This is where you shoot him between the eyes with arrows of the hookshot. He will grab his eyes and shake a bit this is where you strike him the lance, only the lance will damage him. After you hit him he will throw spike at you. Repeat about 5 times and his eyes will shine and growl very loudly he will grow larger his claws will extend and his wings will look more boney.

His eyes will continue to shine and the moon above the arena will slowly go through it's phases waxing, half, crescent, new, crescent, half, waning. When it's new the monster will be completely hidden. He gets a new set of nasty painful attacks. He follows no particular patter unlike before so I'll just make a list.

1. Tornado claw- he will swing his arms around the arena and attacks everywhere. Moves slow and it easy to outrun except when the moon goes down. 1 heart damage if hits.

2. Wind Gash- He will shoots strong gusts of wind at you knocks into the wall. A little fast and unexpected but if you equip the metal boots it won't effect you. No damage if it hit but it sets you for the next hit.

3. Spike wall- Do I need to describe it? Spike pops from the wall and does 1 heart if it hits.

4. Apocalypse- Strongest attack. Depending on what phase the moon is it changes.
Full moon- It sends multiple pillars of light in the room. 2 1/2 hearts damage if it hits. The floor it happens on lights up before hand.
Waning,Waxing,crescent- He unleashes a explosion of light around his self. Reaches to half about the extent of his arms. 2 1/2 damage if hits, stay away from him during this moon phase.
New moon- Appears right in front of Link a strikes him, repeats about 6 times. 1/2 heart per hit, This one is the hardest to dodge since you can't see him. You can still see his red eyes which is the key to dodging this.

After using the moon attack he is vulnerable to a strike in between the eyes, then a hit with the lance. 5 more hits and he'll go down. The strategy is to try to stay away from him at all times, when he flaps his wings 3 times fast equip the iron boots do it by sound when it's new moon. Other than that dodge, dodge, dodge!

After he is slain all the ghosts and zombies will disappear and the town will be at peace. You get a heart for slaying the demon. When your done talk to the mayor and he'll give you yet another heart and you'll get a discount on the store shop.
