I'm writing a speech.......on why you should purchase a Wii over a PS3. I'd like some feedback to those you that have a Wii. |

I wrote a speech on why Nintendo is the best game company last year in English, and I own a Wii, so I can probably contribute quite a bit. |

Cool. Basically I plan to give several pros of the Wii for my first set of points. Then I'll compare them to any "pros" I can dig up on the PS3 to show that Wii is superior. Then I'll go into a rant about pricing. |

Yeah, pricing is what'll probably get most people, because a lot are too superficial about gaming, they fail to see past Nintendo's exterior, and as such, they get stuck with lame games. I'd also suggest you go into a rant about history(maybe just a small rant), and show how Nintendo's has always been successful as a game company, for what is it now, approximately 20 years? |

Well I dunno about talking about the history. People want current things. Hardcore Sony fans aren't going to be convinced to buy a Wii because Nintendo has history. If I convince them outright that the Wii is superior then sure but the simple fact is Nintendo lost the last 2 console wars. |

"Lost" is really kind of subjective, from a financial point, maybe it's true, but game-wise? I don't think so, people are just too blind and never even give Nintendo a chance any more, that's why it "lost". I wouldn't say you'd have to go into the history, but maybe just say something like Nintendo has ~20 years of experience in video games, whereas Sony doesn't even have half as much experienc ein game-making. |

. Here are some pros of the Nintendo Wii System A. Ever hear that video games are making kids fat? No problem, buy a Wii. Most games will have the gamer standing up and acting out what they are performing in the game; even sports games! B. You like the older games that appeared on Nintendo systems? They are downloadale after purchasing Wii points from your local retailer. PS2 sold over 111 million systems. Gamecube sold 21 million. Do the math. Game-wise though I support Nintendo. I do own a PS3 for one reason - Star Wars. MGS was a good find as well though. However adding a small thing about Nintendo's exp. sounds like a good idea. |

I wouldn't say you have to stand up, some game certainly make it beneficial for positioning to stand up, but the majority of the time, you're just waving your arms around. Nonetheless, it keeps you fairly active, I mean, anything is better than sitting there moving nothing but your fingers. Ah, there's so much to get into... I even theorize that the Wii controller is more safe to use than PS3's, given the fact that it's not a fixed unit, but rather two units attached by a cord, allowing for more freedom, and the ability to switch hands for preferences(if you have a certain hand preference, the Wii controller allows you to hold the part with the control stick in your right hand, and to my knowledge, it still works fine). |

Well that's what I mean, financially, of course they did, but that's because people want what's new and "mature", little do they know how good Nintendo games actually are. Doesn't every man woman and child enjoy a good game of Smash? |

Like I said, there's probably a lot I could go into... The way I see it, the other systems have nothing on Nintendo now, they had a lot of online play before, but Wii has the VC, and tons of other stuff, so that point is null now. Wii also uses the full discs now, not mini-discs, so there's another pro for the other systems down the drain. Wii's also smaller I think, making it easier to store... *continues to ramble about Wii is t3h pwn4g3* |

Nintendo lost the last console war due to more than just sales. It really LOST the war. I'm a big nintendo fan, but I find a lot more enjoyable games on the ps2 than the gc. It's not that the ps2 games are MORE enjoyable, it's quite the opposite, but the ps2 has a lot more games due to 3rd party influences, while nintendo is mainly just nintendo. This severely limited the gc, but things could change with the Wii, as the ps3 is taking a major blow to poularity due to the extraordinary price (making 3rd party designers want to stay away), and I hear the ps3 is very difficult to make games for as well. So who are all the game designers going to flock to? The Wii, most likely. Also, look at this. |

Talk about how Nintendo hardware is less prone to bugs and glitches than Sony hardware. |
