I am soo READY for this episode... I want to see what happens to Violet and her baby. Will we find out who the baby Daddy is? I can just imagine Cooper's guilt from knowing he was there and heard a noise but took the call from Charlotte and decided to leave. The cliffhanger was one that I have had a hard time getting out of my mind... Let's see what happens tonight. Will Addy stay tough and move on? Will Sam and Naomi stay friends? Will Naomi's new position kill her friendships? What happens to Dell?

I had low expectations, but I loved it! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. The flashbacks were well done. The wigs were hilarious though. I always wanted to know how the practice came about and how they met, now I know more. It was nice to get more of Pete's backstory. I understand him a little bit more now. Addison rocking the OR were my favorite parts. I love seeing her kicking ass and taking names. The Addie/Naomi scene has to be my favorite scene ever on PrP. Kate Walsh was amazing as well as Audra. I love how Naomi held her hand at the end. Their friendship is my favorite part of this show. I kinda love Sheldon for the little bit of humor he provided. |

i dont' watch pp much but have to say, Violet's storyline got to me, so crazy. it was very touching and intense. I think this is the best episode ever, could be me though! but it shows they are such a close familly and addy felt hurt that naomi left it. not particular fond of the storyline they are going with violet being detatched from the baby, like having that post partum disorder, it's just that storyline is done so many times. I just hope they don't drag it that much. |

Gosh... I loved this episode until I saw the promo for next week. I am feeling the same way... I sure hope Violet does not go down that road...but it looks like she may. I loved to see the flashbacks... we finally got some answers to lingering questions. How they started and how very important each one of them are to each other. So Pete with flowers in his hands finds Violet alone and bleeding... Naomi is not minutes away and she also shows up. They call for help. They show them bringing her into the hospital and Addy is there waiting. They are trying to get Violet to stop bleeding and still they are wondering where the baby might be. They know who took it but they are limited to what they can do. They have to let the police do their job. The scene with Pete, Cooper, Dell, & Sheldon was impressive. Poor guys... I mean they are all in despair... it shows you how much love they all have for each other. Cooper feels guilty... I knew he would... and Pete & Sheldon play the possessive Father very well... but then when Sheldon hugged Pete... I cried. I completely let my guard down and cried. Cooper's pager keeps going off... and he avoids it... he is too concerned with Violet and what could have been... or what is to come. Charlotte was very caring and she helps Coop to see it was not his fault... its the crazy woman's fault. Finally Coop gets fed up goes down and asks why they keep paging him... we see the crazy lady with the baby. She tells Coop she had the baby and made the mistake its a boy not a girl.. and then asks for Violet. OMG.. how sick is this woman... I mean she freaked me out. Coop stays calm and then Pete comes around the corner... and Coop says "Kate had her baby" and Pete gets the idea... and tries to talk to Kate to get her to give Cooper the baby so he can check it. The baby looked pale. Finally she does... the security handcuffs the crazy woman and Coop gives the baby to Pete... Ok here comes the water works again... I so want this baby to be PETE's. Dell goes into the operating room with Violet and Addy tells him to leave but then Naomi says for him to stay he is just trying to talk to Violet... wants someone there for her. Soo much bleeding... They are faced with an impossible decision.. and Addy goes out to ask Pete, Sheldon & Coop what would Violet want? To save her uterus or to save Violet. Pete & Sheldon say save Violet... Coop says save her uterus. That is what she would want... So they find the baby but something goes wrong... they have to operate on it... and in the process Violet also needs Addy. Naomi tells Addy to stay with Violet but Addy says she can do both... She leaves Violet in Naomi's hands and things start to look ok but then we see Naomi struggle with what to do... she tried to remember and she revives Violet. Then you see Naomi look at Dell and blood coming out of violets mouth, nose & ears... and Dell goes and gets Addy. Addy is able to help the baby... and also Violet. Addy did it... she proves once again she is good at what she does... and she has a talk with Naomi about her feelings...being left... being deserted... and Naomi tells her she is not alone... she is never alone. Very emotional moment between them two. I loved it. We get to see Sam and Naomi... the flashbacks.. the regrets maybe... Naomi tries to talk to Sam and apologize and Sam says its ok we all move on. He says that is what people do. I loved the scenes in the funeral... because this episode gave us a BIGGER picture of Pete, his past, his life, his future. He finally got to say GoodBye to his wife and not feel guilty... with Violet's help. It showed a very vulnerable Pete and how strong he has become. Just the thought of losing Violet or the baby... would have been even more devastating to him. In the end we see Violet wake up... and Pete hands her the baby. I loved the episode. I had the thought from the first that the funeral scene was a flash back, not current. I'm still torn about Pete being the father, because I'm not sure I love Pete with Violet. I'm one of the fans who have wanted Pete with Addie from the beginning. Not sure if Violet is really going where the promo is leading us, but I'm sure AB will rock where ever the s/l takes Violet. |

I am the same way... I want Pete and Addy but I think there is still soo much ahead before Pete and Addy are going to find their way to each other. In the beginning I had a hard time with Pete and Violet... and then I started to like them. But ultimately I do want Pete and Addy to end up together... heck we all see it (even Archer commented about it) but them... sound familiar? |

I tell you... my heart just went out for them... I think I was feeling teary eyed for ALL of them. I am soo glad the funeral was from the past... cuz they sure made us think it was for Violet or the baby in the promo's. I had no clue it was Pete's past. |

me too... I was a mess... a complete mess and then I saw the promo and about freaked... I do not want Violet to withdraw... but I can understand that her whole situation is going to leave an earthquake of a mess in her life. |

It opened up why there may be less of Dell in the future... I think he may take some time off and situate himself in his new role as a full time Daddy. I am soo rooting for PETE to be the Daddy... I think Pete has lost soo much... but then again we do not know Sheldon's past... so who knows? But I want it to be Pete. I do I do!!!! |

I really enjoyed this eppy and it was good to see Addison kicking ass in the OR again. I haven't seen the promos for next week, but I like to wait and see anyway.

I loved this episode.......... It was Shonda as we know and love her........ OMG... I agree with it all..... I hope we find out who the father is soon.... I wonder though if maybe since Violet helped Pete through a hard time maybe she will look to him to help her? That would have to be just PTSD at it's finest....=( |

sorry , if things dont' work out between pete and violet, they should stop doing the relationships at work, the only person pete hasn't done other than addi is naomi, and let's not think of him going to guys.... i think addy needs someone who doesn't have much baggage, after all she has had enough as it is. And pete needs to be with someone to challenge him and wont' tolerate his womanizing behavior. Sorry i wouldnt want addi to be with a playboy. They do carry a bit of chemistry but i think that's just their personality. i just think it would be too soap opera if they get together. but i kinda see violet and cooper together, oh wait, i think she gave up on him in the beginning of season one. so ya, no more business romance going on! |

I think that is probably why they have yet to get together... its kind of is Soap Operaish... But from the very beginning I always felt they had chemistry. Addy likes the bad boys... its like she is drawn to them... |

I am going to do the recap in two parts. The first: for the current time. The second: for all the flashbacks. We open with Pete, Sam and Naomi standing outside, all in black at a funeral. No words are sad, just looks of grave sadness. We flash to Pete finding Violet, lying on the floor of her house, badly bleeding and no Kate in sight. Next, Naomi innocently walks in, saying Violet’s door is open and within seconds we are told that the baby is missing. Violet is rushed through the hospital with Charlotte calling in Addison to help. We can see the shock and sadness on everyone’s faces – Naomi, Pete and Cooper. Pete seems to be under a higher level and begins freaking out over not knowing Violet’s blood type. Cooper is upset at himself for being at her place, hearing a noise and leaving. Naomi can’t believe the baby is gone and Addison is in “take over all control mode as my way of handling the shock”. Sam and Dell join the Oceanside Wellness group waiting for Violet and any information. Pete is frustrated with a police officer that doesn’t seem to want to help catch Katie Kent; the one Pete assumes hurt Violet and took the baby, with all the questions he asks. Dell and Sam try to help Pete calm down Pete. After Sheldon appears stating he is the baby’s father as well, the two stressed men over their baby share a small smile. Cooper and Charlotte have a small conversation in the hallway about Violet’s parents with no concern for their daughter’s life. They were on vacation in London and wouldn’t return for their daughter nearly dyeing. Cooper blames himself for being at the front door and not noticing that anything was wrong or stopping it. He then turns to anger and blames Violet for not having the baby yesterday like she was suppose to and that she never does anything she is suppose to. Charlotte calls Violet a “bitch” and explains that the only one to blame is the women who took the baby. Addison and Naomi are in the ER, working on Violet to save her life. Naomi is still in shock at finding Violet and can’t believe that the reason she was over at her house was to tell her she was leaving the practice. Addison reassures Naomi that she is going to be okay but can’t promise it. Cooper, Sheldon, Pete and Dell are all in the waiting room. Pete is being again to take all the blame for Katie hurting Violet and not seeing the signs. Sheldon gets upset that Pete is talking about not helping Violet when he was in a relationship with her as well. Cooper hold Sheldon back as he tries to attack Pete after he says that he was the one she choose. Addison and Naomi are both working in the OR room with a weak and fading Violet. Dell comes in asking for an update, saying they need to know something. An upset Dell begins talking to Violet, Addison is screaming she can’t hear him but Naomi encourages Dell to keep talking. He explains that he has Betsy now and she was his only family but the Oceanside Wellness is now his family. He selfishly asks her not to die. Pete is still upset that he should be out doing something or looking for the baby and Katie. Sheldon explains that he knew women that was having a 90th birthday and was having heart problems the day of the party. On the way to the hospital there was a car accident and she lost everyone in her family. The point of the story was that they needed to have faith that god will provide. He tells everyone that they need to have faith where he doesn’t have any himself but he is pretending he does. Addison, Naomi and Dell are still working on Violet in the OR and she is losing more blood then they can replace. Naomi suggests a hysterectomy to save her life and control the bleeding. Addison thinks they block the blood supply but can die before they can get it started. Addison quickly leaves the OR. She asks Pete and Sheldon what she should do. Pete says to save Violet. Sheldon wants to save Violet as well. Cooper wants to block the blood supply and not to do the hysterectomy. He states she would want her to have another chance. Cooper’s phone rings once again. He leaves screaming that once again he wasn’t on call. Cooper appears at the reception desk, responding to the phone calls that were made over and over again to his phone. The nurse that he is the only doctor she wants for her baby and when Cooper looks over, he tells the nurse to call security. It’s Katie Kent holding Violet’s baby. She still believes that it’s her baby and that she had heard about Violet on the news. Cooper cannot help but stare at the little baby boy in Katie’s arms. Cooper begins to question Katie about the baby, the doctor that delivered him as the baby is looking a little pale. He offers to take a look at him for her to make sure. Pete’s rounds the corner, shocked to see Katie with the baby. Cooper runs inference before Pete can say anything and gets him to play along. Cooper asks Pete if the baby seems pale to him and Pete say he does and Cooper should check him out. They make Katie believe that they need to check out the baby and she passes him over. Cooper takes off with the baby and security and Pete hold Katie back. Cooper gets into the OR and tells her to stop and do whatever she can to save Violet. Addison tells him it’s too late. She has already begun. Charlotte comes into the OR asking for Cooper as there is some bruising on the baby’s stomach and he’s crashing. Addison says he needs surgery and leave Naomi to finish. Addison can save them both. Addison moves back and further between the baby and Violet. Naomi tries to save Violet as she crashes. She begins thinking about what has been happened, with a needle to Violet’s back, get rhythm back. Naomi appears in the baby’s OR and that Violet is alive. Addison and Naomi talk outside of Violet’s room. Naomi is upset at Addison that she left her alone. Addison gets even more upset at Naomi because she left her. Addison had to take care of everyone, Naomi walked out on everyone in the practice. She left everyone. She did what she could to save everyone. The team gathers around Violet’s room, talking about the practice and moving on. Dell feels guilty over having to bring his daughter to the OR and how upset she was when he was gone. He doesn’t understand what he is doing, how is not going to screw her up and he’s 25 years old. Coopers offers the suggestion of taking time off to get her settled in. Pete sits with the baby when Sheldon appears. He offered to sit with the baby. They don’t have a name yet to the baby and won’t until the Violet wakes up. Violet begins to wake up and questions right away where her baby is. Pete brings the baby in, passes hi to Violet who begins to cry that he is so beautiful. Part 2: The Flashbacks We see Cooper and Violet talking about the new clinic they are going to be working in and all the cool features it has. We met a younger Sam and Pete getting introduce to Violet and Cooper. Sam has asked Pete to be a patient of Violet so that he can “deal” and “handle” his wife’s death. Pete and Violet start talking about how therapy was superficial. Pete wasn’t there for anyone but Sam/Naomi as they didn’t understand how he was coping with his wife’s death. Pete expresses that he’s a private person and doesn’t have anything to say. His wife’s death was horrible but given time he would get through it. Sam tells Violet, Cooper and Naomi that the doctor they were hiring isn’t going to work as he was getting sued. Sam suggests Pete as they doctor they can hire. Violet objects to hiring Pete as she did have a session with him and he is considered a patient. Sam considers him to be okay now and doesn’t believe that there is anything wrong. Violet believes that there is still something wrong and she is going to try and find out. Pete and Violet sit down again, talking about Sam offering Pete the job at the practice. Pete is considering the job as working with friends seems good. Pete is upset over his feeling not fitting into Violet’s boxes of what they should be. Violet challenges Pete on what he said. He told her what he was feeling and she countered with “that he should be feeling, not what”. She explained that her job was like his where she makes the choice in when to attack his feelings just like a disease. When to treat it and when to leave it alone. Pete gets upset that Violet is judging what he should be feeling and he doesn’t feel she is qualified to do so. Sam and Pete talk about the luck Sam has with his family and how he ended up with Naomi and has his life that Pete doesn’t. Pete assures Sam it wasn’t luck and that he is going to be okay. Pete returns to Violet and tell her that he and his wife had a fight every night. They said things they could never take back. He was still mad the morning she died and he was trying to get her to talk to him. He called her a “bitch” and she was lying there, silent. He pulled the covers her, to make her talk to him, and she was dead. He couldn’t believe, upset with himself that he argued with his dead wife. Violet assures Pete he didn’t do anything. He admits that he hated his wife. He is upset that his wife is dead but that he can breathe again. Violet approves Pete for the hiring of the practice. We flash to the opening scene but Violet appears next to Pete holding his hand. Pete places a pile of dirt on his wife’s grave. Pete is moving into the practice and Violet offers her thoughts on Pete not being a bad man, just marrying the wrong person. Sorry it was a bit late and going forward, with the show on Thursday night, I plan on at least having it up by Saturday night at the latest. (I normally work Wednesday to Saturday nights (til 2am) so I can't watch the show live)). |
