The nominees were selected based on which actors received the highest number of write-in votes in the Gold Derby online forums. Pompeo was nominated for Best Drama Actress for her work on 'Grey's Anatomy'. These awards don't involve gold trophies or a glamorous televised ceremony. But they are a nice show of support from fans who take television- and the chance to honor the medium's best actors- quite seriously.
