From a Beautiful Day to “What A Difference A Day Makes"… makes me wonder what ShondaLand has in store for us tonight. I am excited just thinking about it being the 100th EPISDODE… knowing something WONDERFUL has to be in store. Last week they leave us knowing Izzie is not getting better. Izzie has been planning this WEDDING of a LIFETIME but she is not getting any better? I am guessing we are going to need tissues tonight. Mer/Der are packing up Ellis’s Diaries… and Mer has told Der that The Chief can come to the wedding. Will this wedding take place tonight? Will Shonda upset many Mer/Der Fans or will she keep us waiting till the finale? How about George? He has been stepping up to his duties and Owen has been impressed. Will Owen continue to teach George? Where will this leave Cristina? I am curious to see more Lexie and Mark… are we going to see some more cute moments together? How is Callie surviving without her trust fund? I think Arizona may come to her rescue. I tell you… I think tonight we are going to get something SPECTACULAR just because it is the 100TH EPISODE. I know there are tonz of spoilers out there… but I will keep this SPOILER FREE… and I can not wait to see your opinions later. Tonight we only have Grey’s. So… I will be here right after it is over…to let you know if LG was HAPPY, SAD, EXCITED, FREAKED OUT, etc… I tell you this is going to be an EXCEPTIONAL EPISODE… because it’s a landmark 100th. So Come on Shonda give us what we want. |

OMG that episode was just everything that every other episode wasn't........and I have so been waiting for the Mer/Der wedding but this was perfect....simply, absolutely perfect......I now assume her death will be at least one of the cliffhangers we are left with next week......So did anyone catch what Bailey was screaming in the promo? "Who is something or another??" I didn't quite get it.... |

I watched. I bawled. I loved. That's a big step for me considering how many times I've complained about the season. And still an hour and a half later I find it hilarious that people fell for the Shonda tricks again. Seriously, Mer/Der getting married in the 100th episode? Shonda's not that predictable! I can't believe Alex and Izzie are married!!!! I fangirl screamed for joy when Mer was standing there with the dress and Alex popped in the room looking all fancy. I was never a fan of the wedding dress in the first place, but on Katherine the dress looked flawless! Alex's vows were amazing, and Izzie kissing him before they were officially pronounced man and wife was so cute. That was one of the most romantic tv weddings I've seen in awhile. If Mer/Der were to have gotten married in the episode, it would have been too much. It wasn't simple. IT wasn't a Mer/Der wedding at all. I really don't remember much about the rest of the episode because I'm still in bliss that Shonda married my favorite couple. All I know is Callie was stupid for saying it was a slow day in the ER! Hello! That's like yelling FIRE in a crowded theater! I'm definitely going to rewatch the episode because I have a werid gut feeling the happy Alex/Izzie only happens in that episode before Shonda kills off my girl, so I'll post the rest later. |

Well someone was right, it was derek sitting in the pews. aww, but glad they didn't rush it. And glad they are doing it the way they want it to be so they don't have to look back and did it for a substitution wedding for izzie's dream wedding. Bailey knew that. It was so sweet and touching. Poor izzie, the ending was a suprise with her reallchi shaving her hair off, but Alex was teh rockstar! I hope this is the last of Denny. it was also touching to have George meet her half way to walk her down, i thought she shouldn't have walked alone. It was just a very touching, loving, emotional, heartache episode. As i said in the last episode, each epi seems to be more emotional. will next week reach it's high point of intense emotions? Glad George got more time, glad that hunt o pened up with christina about the ceiling fan. voiceover with izzie was awesome, yet sad cuz you know something wasn't good with her. love the valedictorian speech and alex' speech at the wedding. It seems it's more the men who should have awesome speeches, lol mark was worried about his speech and funny with mer's solo surgery. love the mer/derek love scene, they celebrated like they were on honeymoon. now it makes me wonder when their wedding will be. wonder if it's next epi, aww can't belive teh season is about over, boooh. I think this year they end it shorter than last year. The only thing i didn't really like was how mer looked, their hair kidna lookd funky but izzie's was beautiful, wow i still can't believe they shaved her hair off in the show. And another was how callie was freaking out with her finances, it's still unbelievable that she's broke, she's a doctor, she should have some to live off of. unless her dad took everything even her paycut out, now that's wrong! anyhow, overall it's an A+++, i'll watch it again tomorrow ;o) |

Randers if they get rid of her...and yanno I am over her whining but if the ditch her...now that she wants to stay and she is married to Alex which I so knew was gonna happen I will be one pissed biotch........That episode was incredible.........and they ALL got screen time......all of em.......I loved it.....George gave her away......It was perfect.......I am just afraid now George will go and so will Izzie because Denny looked like the angel of death.....but yet she told him to go home.....so I just don't know....other than I like the cast AS IS...yanno???? =( |

I LOVED that eppy. It was by far the best eppy yet! The wedding was fantastic, for Alex/Izzie. It would have been awful for Mer/Der, cuz it was all so wasted on a couple who didn't want 'fancy'. I laughed at Bailey at the door with the bridesmaid dress in her hand, waiting for Mer to come around. I thought Izzie was going to throw something at her! LoL I didn't mind seeing Denny in this eppy, cuz it was relevant, and it was good to see her asking him to leave. I think she's going to die though. I don't think they can save her now.  The traumas in the ER were intense. That's a whole lot of people to die on one watch. I probably have more to say, but I literally just got done watching so I'm still buzzing from the eppy! |

OMG!!!! I was sooooo surprised that it was Alex and Izzie who got married. I <3 them!!! I'm so excited. So many emotions happened in that eppy. Happy, touching. My favorite part was when Alex was helping her get back into bed and she starts crying and he says "Stop, you're beautiful." That was so touching. That's where I lost it. The tears started to fall. |

Yeah I know what you mean. I'm going to be one pissed of person if she dies. I'll already realized that Izzie will be one of the major cliffhangers until Shonda decides what to do unless she already decided. Maybe they filmed two different endings. One where she lives and one where she... I don't mind if George leaves. It feels like his character has run his course and last night meeting Izzie half way down the aisle made his character feel full circle for me in regards of the Izzie/George friendship. Next week should be intense. What was everyone running towards in the promo for next week? I'm guessing Izzie? |

Well... I had family drama so I did not get to watch it all... but I saw bits and pieces... I was talking it over with my brother... he says it was the BEST epi he has ever seen in a long while... but the only thing that everyone is screaming about is if they do kill Izzie. So??? I loved when George helped her... that was just CLASS. I loved Alex's vows and I have to say Katherine did a wonderful job in this episode. Mer/Der... I kind of knew but I was hoping and praying that Shonda would not tease the Mer/Der fans this way... and she did. BUT.. Mer/Der both decided to step down and let Alex/Izzie have their day. I cried at that and when I saw Mer go to Alex... I knew... I just knew. You have to give Derek credit in this... cuz if he did not tell Mer... then the wedding would have continued... and it was not really a wedding for Mer/Der... it was ALL IZZIE's... her fantasies, her dreams, her wishes.. and her dress. Loved it!!! I am going to rewatch tonight... cuz I only got bits and pieces... SO? |

^ No they didn't shave her head. They have all sorts of makeup/masks tricks for that. I (obviously) absolutely loved this eppy. Seriously....best eppy I've seen in a LONG time. I'm so glad it was Alex and Izzie getting married....it just wouldn't have been right to be Mer and Der and I think all the MerDer fans would agree with that. I really want to watch it again before I give a complete review but.... I LOVE ALEX!!!!!!!!!!! He has grown so much and him and Izzie are PERFECT! I'm scared that they will kill her off too. But honestly, I was thinking about it a lot last night (while I was supposed to be sleeping) and if they kill a major character it will forever ruin Grey's. All the reruns will forever be tarnished and I will NEVER think of Grey's the same. It won't be good for the show, won't be good for ABC, it will ruin the chemistry on the show and it certainly won't be good for the fans. The cliff hanger will definitely be a "will she die?" kinda thing. I can see her flat lining and then them just ending. (Followed by several minutes of me flipping out!) In terms of the Denny thing, I don't mind it now either. And I wouldn't have minded it to begin with if they hadn't let it drag out for SO long. And they really took it to extremes with the halucination (sp?) sex. And he did look like the angel of death....WAY CREEPY! "Go away, I want to be alone with my husband." I loved that! Ok I'll post more later when I've had a chance to watch again. |

Which means I was so tired last night that I forgot to blog. But I’m blogging now. I’m here now. First, a warning: this is our last blog of the season. It’s also our last podcast and today will be my last tweets of the season. We’re going dark, people. Why? Because next week’s episodes (two in one night) are so explosive and cliff-hanger-y that we, the writers, have all agreed that we can’t even talk about them. For fear of giving anything away. We honestly can’t say a word. But know that we are proud. Of the episodes. And of you. For sticking with us. For 100 plus episodes. For going through the good and the bad. For having faith in us. And our characters. We thank you and we appreciate it. There are not words to express how much we appreciate it. So this is the last you will hear from us until next season. What can I say about the 100th? Well, there was a wedding. Which made some of you cry and made some you mad. There was Denny. Which made some of you cry and some of you mad. But mostly, there was a point. I had a point! That happy woman you saw? Doing her solo surgery and smiling at the Chief? The one giving her wedding away with warmth and joy? THAT WAS THE SAME WOMAN WHO TRIED TO DROWN HERSELF. That was our dark and twisty girl. All grown up. Whole. Healed. FOR REAL. It was a day I never thought we’d see (well, I did think it but…hell, you know what I mean). For once, Mer is the calm one. The happy one. The one who is fine. For once, Mer is whole and healed and happy. She doesn’t have a problem other than the Chief peeking over her shoulder during her solo surgery. She is excited about her marriage. She is calm. She doesn’t need her eyebrows shaved off to be numbed into the submission of marriage. She is fine. That is shocking, I think. So I’m going to say it again. SHE. IS. FINE. That was my point. After 100 episodes, Meredith Grey is grown up. She is the thing her mother wished for her. She is extraordinary. Because, to get past the crap of your past? To move on? To let the past go and change? That is extraordinary. To love? Without fear? Without screwing it up? That is extraordinary. It makes me happy to see her happy. Now, Izzie’s got some problems. Her tumor is back. And she is scared to death. But the thing is, Alex has grown up too. Look at him. Standing at the altar and saying those vows like a man. He’s grown up. And the two of them are married. Which is unbearably sad because you know and I know the wedding wouldn’t be happening if it wasn’t clear that Izzie is maybe going to die. But he’s become a man who can step up. And I love him for it. I went up to the editing room when the show was being editing and I saw my first images of Izzie lying in the hospital bed bald. And I started to cry. And I said to Susan Vaill, our brilliant editor, I said, “Ummm…I think Izzie is really sick.” And she hollered at me “YOU MADE HER SICK!!!!” But here’s the thing. Until I saw my Izzie, bald and pale and wheezing in that bed…I mean, she’s sick. She’s really sick. And I didn’t see it coming. My brain got ahead of my heart on this one. It hurt my heart to see her so sick. The magnitude of one of our own, that sick, it was shocking to see off the page and on the screen. She’s sick. She’s really sick. And now I’m a little scared. In this episode, Denny comes back. Not as her boyfriend. Not as the guy she hallucinates having sex with. No. Denny comes back as death. Death with a capital “D”. Did you notice the black clothes? The way he speaks sparingly? He’s death. He’s death standing over her. I kept chanting the Emily Dickinson poem --- “because I could not stop for death, he kindly stopped for me”. That’s Denny. I gotta admit, I’m crossing my fingers that he goes away. Because, as much as I love Denny (and y’all know how I love him), I want him to get out of there. Like Bailey says “YOU TELL DENNY TO GO HOME.” Because I don’t want Death to get Izzie. Did you see George follow Owen’s advice and go where he was needed? Right to Izzie’s side to help her down the aisle? He wasn’t the hero. He was on the team. He went where he was needed. And Lexie? Saying “you’re breathing?” One of my favorite moments ever. And Callie? Oh my god, do I love Callie. And I love her with Arizona, a whole healed person in her own right. There was something so painfully poignant about Callie admitting that she is broke. That the relationship is no longer on equal footing. That she feels like she is in over her head because her father disowned her and cleaned out her bank account. I love that Arizona says “I like the girl who has the sandwiches.” I like that they make me feel hopeful about love. Callie deserves a little happy. Owen and Cristina are still in pain, however. I am rooting for them and you should be too. He’s a good man, that Owen. He’s good for Cristina. And, if they can get past the choking, maybe they will make it. But I’m coming back to Mer and Der. Happy. Completely and totally happy. Which is rare for anyone. But shocking for Meredith and Derek. They really are soul mates. And they really are perfect for one another. I had a point. So, what’s left? The final two episodes. Will Mer and Der get married? Will Izzie live? Will Owen and Cristina get together? What’s going to happen to Bailey? To George? To everyone? There’s a point to that too. You watch and you’ll see. Thank you. From the bottom of my heart. For all 100 times you’ve watched. For all 100 more you watch in the future. I’m grateful. |

Okay, so how much did I love this epi! I can't even put it into words. I loved Shonda's write up as well. Its heart wrenching to hear her talk about Izzie though. I know they don't want to kill off Izzie, maybe just Katherine! Nah, that is probably all water under the bridge and I am hoping upon hope that they keep her because the show wont be the same without her. I'm still reeling from this epi and can not wait until the season finale.... Is it Thursday yet?? |
