hey guys!! i havent written in a very long time, yesterday i had this idea and the will to write, please let me know what you thing about it. There is no particular background on this one, just the fact that it takes place at the start of the internship and Meredith just moved back into Seattle. :roll: more details ahead  As i drove back to Seattle i couldn't help it but think why am i gong back? I could not wait to get out of there in the first place, but Seattle Grace was an amazing opportunity to follow my medical career, one thing i had clear, i could not go back to my house, well my mothers house i never felt like in home there. I stopped in front of my new home, a building conveniently placed across the street from work, it was the perfect place, home, work and a bar, what more do i need, i brought only a couple of suitcases with me, Tracey my roommate in Boston will send the rest of my things later, my first impulse is go to that bar and start my new life with a drink but i think i will leave that for later, i have to carry 2 very heavy suitcases and unpack... drink will have to wait for now. i turned to look at the building before taking the suitcases out and iīm loving the view already, cant help it but look at the guy coming out of the doors, "shit he saw me" great iīm such an idiot, but on the other hand Cristina never mentioned such hot guys living here. "hey" he said nodding his head looking tough and arrogant, oh yeah he is arrogant he just left and didn't even offer to help, not that i want any help, but still. i reached down to get one of my suitcase, when i felt a warm touch, it startled me a little and i dropped the suitcase "oh god iīm sorry" a handsome man said looking at me in a way i could have melted in that very moment, "i didn't" he paused " i just wanted to help, those look like they are heavy" he added and offered his hand to take the suitcase again, i gave it to him and grabbed the other one, we both walked inside the building, and i again i thought about how much i was going to love my new place, filled with great hot neighbors, this one in particular. as we waited for the elevator we started talking. "how long have you been living here?" i asked him "not long " he said smiling "im actually just moving in like you, half my box are still in my car but you seemed like you needed help so i paused a little to do that" i could not help it but laugh what a nice coincidence, and what a gentleman "you are the first person i meet in here" he said " well you and the girl that rented me the apartment" i smiled a little, and was going to say something when the elevator's doors opened, we got in "what floor?" he asked " fourth" i said, then he flashed one of those smiles again, i was a little confused "we are on the same floor" he said " ohhh," was all i could say still mesmerized by his smile. "ok this is it" he said as we reached the fourth fool, i got out first and walked to my apartment then i remembered i still dont have the key i had to go to Cristinaīs apartment and get it as i turned around he is there laughing at me " what is so funny?" i asked "forgot the number of your apartment?" he raised one eyebrow "no just the key i have to ask Cristina for it" i noticed the frown on his face "what?" i said "what is the number of your apartment?" he asked " 402, this one right here" i answered pointing at the door i was standing in front of "no, no, that is not your apartment" he said "yes it is" i replied "no is not!!" he insisted "oh what do you know you are new here too" i went pass by him but stopped in my tracks when he said " i know, because that is my apartment" i turned around really surprised that could not be possible that was my apartment, next thing i know iīm knocking on Christina's door, she was the owner of the apartment i had only talked to her a few times, she was..... well she different and right then i was thinking not a good person, we both kept knocking like crazy on that door and he kept saying how he kept saying how the apartment was his but i knew i was not crazy, Cristina said i could have it, and i was not willing to give such a great place up. she finally opened the door and gave us a look. "ok what is it with all the knocking" both us started talking at the same time " DID YOU RENT THE APARTMENT TO BOTH OF US?" her expression was difficult to read as if she didnīt even know what we were talking about, then she finally realized "ohhhhh right, yeah iīm sorry" i could not believe this girl "iīm sorry? that is all you are going to say?" she barely looked at me and she didn't even seem remotely sorry "yeah look, im a surgeon ok, iīm very busy, i know i had promised the apartment to you at first" she looked at me " but then he came around and i guess i forgot about you and said he could have it, then i remember but figured since both of you were from out of town, well maybe you would not show up or at least only one of you and i would have no problem then........ok my point is i am a surgeon i don't have time for this" With that she went inside again leaving us both standing at the door unable to process what had just happened, we looked at each and started fighting about who hadthe right to stay in the apartment. "see? she promised to me first" i started "hey i didnīt know about you and i already paid the deposit" he followed "well i paid the deposit too" i crossed my arms "i already unpacked" "oh no you didn't you said half your things are still on the car" "damn" he said knowing now i had too much info and i was not backing down "so i suggest you get the rest of your things out of MY apartment and find another place" "oh no im not going anywhere" he crossed his arms too and stood in front of me, we stayed there facing each other like ready to rip each other's heads for that apartment then Cristina reemerged from inside her apartment, we started yelling at each other and her at the same time we could not understand each other, she got in between us " SHUT UP" she yelled "work it out on your own" she said in a softer voice " and far away from here please" she added as she took my hand a placed the spare key on it, i smiled a little looking at him, he shook his head saying "donīt you dare" but before he could finish i was already running up the stairs to get to the apartment all i could hear was he running behind me screaming " NO!! THAT IS MY APARTMENT" Thanks for reading! |

hey!! thanks for the comments guys and yeah iīm back
here is a little update for now, cuz i also want to catch up on your fics, im half way trough some but i was way behind
 ------------------------------ "NO!!! THAT IS MY APARTMENT" was all i could hear before i closed the door on his face with a triumphant smile. i turned around and let out a sigh feeling good about myself though i donīt really quite know why, i had never been this competitive before, well before i became a doctor, well at this point i donīt care i got the apartment, and i was happily walking though it when i stumbled over something i felt to floor, then i heard some laughing and as i turned around there the was standing, i had forgotten he already had a key and it was a box of his things what made me fall. "awww did you hit yourself too hard?" he said looking worried "no" i replied being all annoyed by his presence "good i dont want my new floor dented" he smiled again "shut up!!" i frowned and got on my feet "here let me help with that" he lifted the box, i felt relieved he finally understood and then i realized what he was doing " no! wait! what do you think you are doing?" "unpacking, what does it look like" he didnīt even looked at me and kept taking things out of the box, i was not going to allow that i stood next to him "oh no you wont" then i started putting things back inside the box. "hey!! leave that alone" but we kept going like that for a minute until we both gave up we stood there looking at each other arms crossed. "you are an idiot, you know that right?" i told him "me? who is the one invading my apartment" he replied "hey this apartment was mine in the first place" "was not" "was too" "was not!!" "well what are you going to do about it cuz I'm not moving" i sat on a chair with my arms crossed i was being serious i was not going to give the apartment up to him " well im not moving either" he did the same sitting in front of me "plus i got here first, i beat you to it" "yeah for like five seconds" i rolled my eyes no matter what he said i was not going to change my mind "so what are we going to live together then?" he said mocking me a little "no......yes..........damn it" we were getting no where so i decided to be the better person " ok tell you what, i will let you stay here until tomorrow, then you can move to another place" "me? i cant wait until you get one" I realized getting him out of there was going to be difficult but i was going to do my best battle was so on, for both of us i could tell by his look, and damn he had to have nice eyes. :roll: |

After several minutes fighting over the rooms the place was finally quiet, i got the main room and he agreed to stay in the other, hopefully not for long, thank god it was a two bedroom apartment, the view was amazing, i could not believe i was in Seattle again and then rain started pouring, yeah i was definitively back. i took a hot bath and came out room, he was sitting on the living room reading a book, he was not done unpacking but he had unpacked a few things, now my new living room was filled with some ugly trophies. "what are those?" i asked with a disgusted face "my trophies" he said "yes i know they are yours, those are definitively not mine, what are they doing there?" "well this is my apartment" i interrupted " for now" i said " for now is our apartment, but don't get too comfy" "well those trophies stay there" i was sure he was making it to piss me off, those things looked horrible there, and he was getting what he wanted i was mad, until i read one of them "national band competition?" i started laughing " you were in the band?" "shut up" he said "no i think is great, and ok if you want to let everyone know what a geek you were in high school that fine by me" "i was not" with that he took that one trophy and put it back in the box, but some of the other stayed out, well at least i managed to get rid of the big one, and i could not wait until my things were there too, i needed to make the place more mine. we kept having little fights about pretty much everything, and every time we ran into each other but at one point we both got tired i suppose, the apartment went quiet again, and i went to the kitchen to get some water when the bell rang, i got out of the kitchen and look at him in a confusing, little terrified way, he was feeling the same i did by the way he was looking too, he stood up and we both started walking toward the door. "if Cristina rented the apartment to another person i will kill her" i said in a firm voice "and i will help you hide the body" he added for a minute there i felt like smiling, laughing even, this was a funny situation if you thought about it, i could tell he was holding back the laughter too, we both reached the door at the same time, i opened it, it was this blond girl i had not seen before, but we both felt relived, she didn't look like she was there for the apartment, she had to be one of the neighbors i assumed, she was smiling holding a basket with muffins "hello" i said with a fake smile i didnīt really care much about who else lived in the building, and extreme happiness was definitively not my thing "hi, iīm Isobel Stevens but everyone calls me Izzie" "hello Izzie" he said "i heard someone moved in, so i brought welcome muffins" "that is very sweet of you" i added still trying to be as polite as possible I took the basket and thought that was all but then said "thanks a lot Izzie, do you want to come inside for a minute?" great now he was inviting strangers to my apartment "of course" she said "of course" i said in a low sarcastic tone as i made my way to the kitchen to leave the muffins there, by the time i was done they were already sitting in the living room, now i knew she was never going to leave. "so do you and your wife like the new place?" she asked looking through the window "NOOOOOO" we both said like from the bottom of our hearts, she got confused "then why did you move here?" this was going to be long " sorry, we meant she is not my wife" he said "oh iīm sorry" she said feeling a little embarrassed "well moving in with the boyfriend should be a nice experience" we both shook our heads rapidly, she got the hint this time "not boyfriend and girlfriend" i confirmed that " wow i am so not on my game today, iīm sorry you guys, so just friends" i thought she was going to stop when we said we were not married, but apparently we had a very curious neighbor here. "no" i said, then i got a confused look from her " we...well lets say its complicated, but we are not friends or related in any way" he added knowing her next question was going to be that. And apparently that was enough for her she stood up apologized and walk to the door........finally. "it was really nice meetting you" she didnīt sound so convinced when she said that " good bye guys, have a good day Derek" with that she left the apartment i closed the door and turned around realizing up until now i didnīt know his name "Derek?" i asked " yeah, you?" "Meredith" i replied he offered his hand for me to shake it but then he took it back i was confused "i would say nice to meet you but you know" he had a point "yeah, same, it was not nice to meet you either Derek" this time we shook hands and actually smiled at each other for the first time thanks for the comments, and yes of course is a merder fic you guys know me and yeah 5 year old kids XD

Backkkkkkk!! sorry for the delay guys here is a little update, and thansk a lot for your comments means a lot to me, and hey thanks Caroleen i will ask Linda for help with the other fics. P.S. donīt worry Dana iīm thinking on posting next update before christmas  First morning in my new apartment, the feeling was good, i was half sleep as i walked to the bathroom, i didnīt have to start work for a few days but i could not wait to pass by the hospital and meet the chief, he was an old friend of my mothers and wanted to see me before the first day of internship, i just wanted to watch a couple of surgeries from the gallery if possible. I turned the door knob and to my surprise it was locked, and then i remembered i was not alone in that apartment, i was thankful we had to bedrooms but we had to share one bathroom and it was already a problem, i started knocking on the door "occupied" he said from the inside "i can see that, can you please hurry up" i urged him "i just got here so it will be a while" he replied, then i heard the shower running "damn" i said in a low voice and reluctantly walked to the living room and sat on a chair i put my towel over my eyes and waited for him to come out thirty minutes later he finally got out, i quickly stood up from the chair and got in front of him "finally, what are you a girl?" i said, he didn't say anything just stepped aside and let me go inside the bathroom, as he walked away i noticed his great body. "yeah he is hot, but he still has to go, snap out of it Meredith" i thought to myself and closed the bathroom door. when i got out of the bathroom he was nowhere around only trace of his presence then was a box of muesli in the kitchen counter, of course he had to be a healthy eater, i grabbed a cup of coffee and left the apartment, and then i got to meet some other neighbors first these two women living in the apartment across from ours, not ours! my, my apartment, i could not let this become a permanent arrangement. We said hello as we crossed each others in the hall "you most be the new one, hi iīm Callie Torres" we shook hands "yeah that is me, iīm Meredith" i said "and this is my best friend and roommate, Erika" Callie added, i said hi to her too then we walked down the stairs. Erika was quiet while Callie would not stop talking all the way, they were nice, but again the less i could see from my neighbors the better, i was not a very social person, i have always enjoyed being peacefully alone. Before i could even leave the building i got another warm welcome this time by the lovely Miranda Bailey, i didnīt get to talk to her much but she seemed to be really sweet. After too many friendly encounters for my taste i was finally in the hospital, i could fell the rush in my blood already. thanks for reading and reviewing <3 |
