Meredith and Derek do not grow apart. Hope you like it. It's my first fan fic. So please feel free to leave comments. (I know the first part is long. But it was on the old site. I wanted to repost the whole thing, before I finally updated it. I'm back guys!) Meredith had just turned the corner to the nurses station when she saw her father coming towards her. She had the urge to hide, but she decided not to. Her father walked towards her, he looked her in the eyes. Then started yelling at her. Calling her names, blaming her for Susan's death. Meredith froze afriad to speak or move. Memories of her childhood coming back to her. Derek turned the corner just in time to see Thatcher's hand hit Meredith's cheek. Her face followed his hand. Derek interseeded pulling Thatcher off Meredith. Derek took Meredith aside. Are you alright? he asked. She shook her head no. Derek took a quick look at her cheek and kissed it. Stay here I'll be right back, he said. He went up to Thatcher and pushed him against the wall. What the hell do you think your doing? Stay away fom Meredith. You go anywhere near MY girlfriend and you will be missing parts of your brain. I don't care if I lose my license, Derek said. He walked back over to Meredith and wrapped his arms around her, holding her. After a few minutes he took her to his office, with an arm around her waist. When he shut the door to his office he turned to Meredith. He looked her in the eyesc concen filled his eyes. Meredith? That was all it took for Meredith to brake down. Derek held her in his arms pulling her to his chest as she cried. After a few minutes he picked her up and carried her to his chair. He sat down and sat her on his lap. He held her in his arms as she cried. It's okay now baby, I'm here, sssshhhh. he said as he held her rubbing her back gently. Try to calm down baby. I don't want you to start hyperventilating again. He kissed her cheek and the top of her head. After a few minutes she calmed down enough to stop crying. What happened? he asked looking down at her lovenly. He just came up to me and started blaming me for Susan's death. He said he didn't want me at the funeral. That I was disowned form the family. He looked at her shaking his head to say he understood. I love you. You have me now. I will never leave you again. I'm your family now.Okay mer? he said. Okay. she said smiling, at least she had Derek, the love of her life. she kissed him. Thankyou Derek, I'm glad I have you,I can't believe I have the test now. I hope I can get through it. I mean I think I just relized what has happened to me in the last two months just now and it's alot. yeah it is, he said . He smiled he had an idea. Would you like me to quiz you? Maybe if you had the information fresh in your brain you'd do better. Meredith smiled Yeah I'd like that. What do I get if I get a question right? she asked. You'll see. derek siad smiling at her. Derek would ask Meredith a question. If she got it right she got her prize. Derek would start with a kiss on the cheek, or the mouth, the neck, the ear. Then after the next question he ran she finger's down her chest and stomach, causing her to shiver. He smiled as the moved to the next question after that he ran his hand over her bra, causing a moan. His special attention had taken her mind off her family problems. She met Bailey outside. Bailey: You're with Shephard Grey. she nodded her head, and headed towards the OR. She scrubbed in and went to stand next to him. He didn't have to look up he knew she was there. Derek: how did it go? Meredith: okay, I did really well with the Neruo questions. Derek: I hope so. she giggled. Meredith: So what do we she saw the axe Meredith:Oh. Is that from the mountain? Derek:Yeah Meredith: What happened Derek: That's what are whole staff is trying to figure out. He said shaking his head Derek:I'm glad you did well. He said srubbing out. After they scrubbed out Meredith went to find Bailey for the results. Bailey: Grey you passed with a hundred. Meredith smiled and went to find Derek. She found him on his office. Meredith: so Bailey said I passed Derek: Yeah Meredith: Yeah with a hundred. Derek went up to her and kissed her passionatly and hugged her derek:That's great baby. He goes to his desk and took out a few packages that were wrapped Derek: I brought you some gifts Meredith:You didn't have to. Derek:I know I wanted to. Meredith opened the first one. Meredith:Oh my god, derek, you shouldn't have Derek: Hey after the intern year youv'e had you deserve it. meredith: Thankyou. Derek: You're welcome. He kisses her passionatly on the lips. Mer smiled at Derek. She loved that she finally had someone who believed in her with no exceptions. Mer: I did it. Derek: Yes you did. I'm so proud of you. Meredith:Thankyou. Now Dr. Shepherd I believe you have some unfinished business to attend to. Derek: Yes I do. He took her hand and led her out of the hospital. On the drive to the trailer they both smiled the whole way. Both proud of her accoplishment. Derek pulled up to the trailer and got out. He opened the door for her and helped her out. Meredith smiled at him. Mer: Thankyou. Derek: Your welcome. He took her by the hand and walked uo the steps of the trailer. He opened up the door and led her in. he smiled at her as he closed and lockeed the door. He helped her take off her jacket, then took off his. He kissed her. Slowly at first, but as his feeling got more intense the kisses got more passionate. Filled with a passionate fire. Meredith ran her hands up and down his back. He started to suck on her earlobe. At this point he took off her shirt. She started to unbotton his shirt.She runs her hands up and down his chest. Derek moves his head farther down. She slowly wakes up. Derek: Good morning. Mer: Good morning baby Derek I have to go in early I have a surgery. Mer: Okay. I'll miss you. Derek: I know. I'll miss you to. He kisses her shoulder, I'm gonna go take a shower. Mer: Okay I'm gonna go get breakfast. Derek: Okay Derek jumps in the shower. He comes out and gets dressed for work. Making sure he has his PDA, Phone and his beeper. He walks into the small makeshift kitchen,livingroom,dining area. He sits down and smiles at Meredith. She smiles back. Mer: So any good surgerys today? Derek: I have a hemospherectomy this morning. Then I have to see. Mer: That sounds good. I'll be in around 11:00. I don't know why they made the schedule that way. Derek smiles. Derek: I have no idea, but I gotta go. See you later. Mer: Yeah of course. Can't spend a whole day at work without you. I love you. Derek Love you to.He kisses her on the lips. Bye. Mer: Bye baby. Mer watches his car pull away, and decides to catch up on some much needed rest. Meredith took a shower and got dressed. She cleaned the trailer a little. Then looked at her watch, she sighed she still a half an hour intil she has to leave. She decides to go vist Doc. She walks to where Derek and her buried Doc on his land. She knelt down. Mer: Hey Doc. It's been a while buddy hasn't it. Daddy and I are back together. We're really happy. We miss you though. I became a resident. Can you believe it I did it Doc. I made it. Daddy turned down Cheif, but he's happy cause he has me. Mer sighed Mer: I gotta go to work Doc, but maybe next time daddy will come with me. You'd like that wouldn't you. I know you would. Mer walked over to the car, after making sure she had her beeper and Cellphone. She drove to Seattle Grace. When she pulled in she had tears streaming down her face.She hadn't gone to seen Doc sence Derek and her had buried him. And she hadn't relized until now just how much she missed him. She wiped her tears away before getting out of the car. She walked into Seattle Grace and went into her locker room. She changed into her scrubs and smile when she grabbed her lab coat. Derek knew her size well. It fit just right. She hadn't noticed intill now thought that he had it inscibed with her name on it. She smiled she'd have to thank him. It was certintley sweet of him to do that. For now she didn't need her cap at least not until surgery. She'd come back for that. She grabbed her sethoscope and put it around her neck. She shut her locker and walked out to find her new interns and start her day. Mer walked out of the locker room. After meeting her interns to give them their assingments for the day. She walked down the hall.When she saw Derek. he walks up to her and smiles. Derek: Hey He looks at her Derek: You alright? He asks concerned Mer:um yeah Der: you sure? Mer: No, I cleaned the trailer after you left, and I still had a half hour before I had to leave to come here. So I went and visted Doc. She says with a sigh He pulls her to him, hugging her. He kisses the top of her head. Der: I'm sorry. I would of gone with you. Mer: I know She says with a small smile. Der: Need cheering up? Mer: maybe later. Der: Okay. Wanna scrub in with me later? He asks trying to get her mind off of Doc. He misses Doc to. But he always hates to see her upset. Mer: Sounds like fun. She says with a smile. Derek: okay he says kissing her on the lips I'll see you later. Mer: yeap see you later. Meredith walks away. Completly amazied still at how quickley Derek is capably of turning a bad day into a good day. A smiles appears on her face when she relizes that she wouldn't trade Derek for anything in the world. SHe is completly and toldly in love with him. Mer smiles as she makes her way to the patients room. She knows she gets to see Derek again. She walks a little faster. She can't wait to see him. This one person who dosen't even have to try to brighten up her day. To think that months ago this was the same man who didn't even relize he was casuing her pain by being in the same room as her. She enters the room and smiles at him. He looks at her, his eyes lighting up. Derek: Dr. grey your here good Mer:yes Dr.Shepherd He's undressing me with his eyes. she thinks as she blushes. Derek: Dr. grey whats wrong? She shallows and clears her throught Mer:Um nothing Dr.Shephered. He smiles knowing exactly what is wrong, and he's proud of it. Derek: Okay have one of your interns prep the paient. He leans into her ear as he leaves, meet me in the scrub room at one o'clock He straightens up Derek: have your intern meet us at the OR at 1:45. Mer:okay She says , walking out in a daze at the exchange they had just done in the patients room. Meredith looked at her watch it was now five to one. She ran to the scrub room and smiled as she opened the door. She opened the door and smiled. He was leaning against the scrub sink. He smiled his McDreamy smile when he saw her walk in. Mer: Hey Derek walks over to her and wraps his arms around her waist and smiles down at her Derek: Hey He leans down and kisses. her he leans in and whisphers in her ear: I got to you eailer didn�t I? He asks. She looks at him . Mer: What can I say. You make me weak. She says .Derek groans as she says this. He leans over and kisses her. Derek: how would you like to have sex here? Meredith looks at him "Derek Shepherd I can't believe you just said that!" "oh really. SO you don't have any fantises about us?" he asked curious. "I didn't say that. Just , I wouldn't.. wouldn't discuss it at the hospital. At work. That's all." Derek smirks "okay" Meredith looks at him. "seriously, Derek have some self control" "I did in a six hour surgury that is self control." "You are un believe able you know that." "No just dreamy and completely sexually attracted to my girlfriend. I can't help all the porny thoughts you make me have." he said with a smile. Mer shakes his head at him. "Sure blame me for your lack of self control." She says. "Although the rate we've been going today. Six hours is self control." She says with a smile.He looks at her. "You are so funny sometimes, but I love you Dr.Grey" He leans in and kisses her. "Want to go out tonight? Just you and me...on a date.Nice and romantic." She smiles a really big smile. "Yeah sure. A date huh.. we don't go on dates very often." She says. He places a hand on her back. "yeah well I like to be all romantic on occasion keeps the realtionship nice and healty, and balanced." "yeah, it does." She says. "So how often have you been on a date?" Derek asks her. "Well...ah...I mean... ah. Just when I was dating you and Finn." She says slightly embarrssed. "Really that's it?" He asks suprised. He knew she had a bad childhood, but not dating he couldn't imangine it. She wasn't joking when she said I was her real first relationship, he thinks to himself."Well then I'm just going to have to make up for it then. And be all McDreamy and sweep you off your feet." She giggles. "Your always McDreamy. But a date occasion whould be nice." He nods. "Okay we'll go on dates on occasion then. I love you." "I love you to." Meredith was really excited about her date with Derek. It was her first real date that hadn't involved drunkenness not knowing the guys name. It was the first real date other then the competition Derek had against Finn. Derek hadn't said were he was taking her tonight, just to dress up. She smiled at that thought. They he went being all Mcdreamy again. She looked when he was being Mcdreamy. Her friends all hated it in an annoying sort of way, except for Izzy. Meredith was walking down the hall when she got dizzy. She sat down on a chair in the hallway. Waiting for the dizziness to pass. She sat there for a few minutes. Once it passed she got up and walked over to CT, meeting Derek to review another patient. She hoped he wouldn't be able to tell. She walked in and he smiled at her. "Hey" he said. "hey" she said smiling back at him. They were reviewing the CT scan on the monitor. He looked over her. Noticing her sweating and pale. "Hey" he said . Nothing. "Hey " he said trying to grab her attention. "Hey Mer." nudging her softly. "Huh what?" "You okay?" "Yeah, why?" "your pale and sweating alot. You sure your okay sweety?" "Yeah" Derek looked at her not really believing this. She could see it in his eyes. She sighed. "I promise if in a few days this doesn't go away I'll get checked out." "Seriously, you're not just saying it to shut me up?" "Seriously." "Okay love you." "Love you to" Mer said back. Mer had been feeling better after she ate lunch. Blaming it on low blood sugar, she contuied to go about her day. She and Derek laughed when they got home. Mer: "You are not the best surgeon in the world" Derek: "You're supost to be on my said. You're my girlfreind." Mer: "yeah and my boyfriend has an ego the size of the Grand Canon." Derek:"That's not verynice. My ego's hurt." Mer: Your ego could use a bruise. You no go down a notch." Derek starts tickling Mer. Mer: "Derek stop. " she said laughing Derek:"Make me" Mer:"Derek come on I'm hungry" Derek:"Okay but only so we can eat. Don't think I'd let you off that easy." Mer rolls her eyes. She walks over to the kitchen and takes the coldcuts out. Mer;"Sandwhichies okay?" Derek: "Is there saad with that?" Mer; "Of course Derek." Derek:"Sandwhichies are fine than." She makes the sandwhiches and sits down. They eat occusinally talking as they smile to each other. After they are done eating, Meredith cleans up. Derek walks up behind her. He wraps his arms around her waist. Derek;"You feeling better?" Mer:"Yeah I think I just was hungry. Low blood sugar." Derek:"Okay" Derek still didn't believe her, but didn't want to argue. Derek: "Let's go to bed." He says kissing her check. Mer:"Okay." They walk up the stairs to their bedroom. Meredith falls asleep in Derek's arms. She gets up a few hours later having to use the bathroom. She gets up, takes a few steps and passes out. Derek still asleep. She comes to a little while later, still dizzy. Mer: "Derek, Derek wake up" She whisphers Mer:"Derek!" He wakes up slowly not seeing her. Mer;"Derek I passed out I'm on the floor." He quickly gets up and runs over to her. He knees beside her. Derek: "What happened? are you okay?" Mer: "I went to use the bathroom, nes=xt thing I knew I woke up on the floor." Derek: "Okay I'm here. " He says before gently picking her up in his arms and placing her on their bed.

Posts: 6 Group: Interns Member #129 Joined: August 28, 2008 Favorite Character Meredith Grey, Derek Sheperd Favorite Couple merder	Mer slowly relaxed as she felt Derek's arms wrap around her gently. She felt so safe in that instance, that she closed her eyes and slowly fell asleep. She woke up hours later to Derek watching her sleep again. "Hey" Mer said. "Hey" Derek replied."How you feeling?" He asked softly. Mer smiled at him. "Better." She said, but she spoke to soon, as soon as she said that she felt the sudden urge to be sick. She quickely sat up and raced to bathroom just in time to throwup in the tolet bowl. Derek sat up and walked into the bathroom, kneeling beside her. "Hey how long have you been feeling this way?" He asked concerned, as he rubbed her back. She groaned. "Uhh a few weeks.It comes and goes." "Hmm" he responed , smiling. "What?" She asked , slightly iragtated by his reaction. "I'll be right back." He said kissing her forehead softly, before getting up and running to the drugstore. He runs up the stairs and goes into their bathrrom to find her still knelt over the toliet bowl. "I bought you some pepto bismol and something else I think might help." Mer looks at him questionly, and then sees the test he has held up for her. "What..Derek... you can't possibly think..." She was cut off by him kissing her. "Just take the test. If it is positive would it really be that bad?" He asked tilting his head a little. Mer shakes her head. "No, as long as I have you." Derek smiles"Than take the test." He says as he helps her stand up. She nods her head."Okay I'll take it now." She says . He nods and leaves the room, closing the door behind him. A few minutes later he knocks on the door."Come in" Mer says. She looks at him, as she takes a deep breath."Times up." She says simply. He nods as he walks over to her, a hand on her back, "Want me to look?" he asks. Mer nods, "Please. He looks down at the test, than back up at her. His hands go around her waist as he leans in closer to her and smiles "Your pregant , Mommy." He says before kissing her passionatly.
