Está confirmada una nueva película de las tortugas ninja para el 2013 aparentemente. El problema es que... ya no son simplemente mutantes... son extraterrestres...

Michael Bay

"When you see this movie, kids are going to believe one day these turtles actually do exist when we are done with this movie," said Bay as he took the stage to discuss his new vision for the reptilian reboot. "These turtles are from an alien race, and they are going to be tough, edgy, funny and completely loveable."

IMDB

Fans of the hit comic book/cartoon/movie series "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" just about had a collective coronary yesterday when director Michael Bay announced that he was working on a new version of the story that would recast the four crimefighting heroes as aliens. Wtf, said the planet Earth.

But don't worry, because Bay has heard your concerns and complaints — and after careful consideration of your feelings and a thorough review of the situation, he has posted a new message on his official forums asking you to please chill out.

Okay, so he didn't quite put it like that, but the message is still clear: He's Michael Bay and you kind of aren't, so there's a pretty good chance he knows more about making movies than you do. Here's his official statement on the tempest-in-a-halfshell:

"Fans need to take a breath, and chill. They have not read the script. »

IMDB

Producer Michael Bay stated that the Turtles in this film would be presented as having an extraterrestrial origin. This statement caused a great furor and was met with harsh criticism from much of the fanbase. However, the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" co-creator Kevin Eastman has expressed their support in the alien concept, saying he believes the concept to be "awesome!" and pointed out that the ooze that created the Turtles was in fact an alien substance.

En resumen... Las tortugas son extraterrestres en la película. El co-creador de la franquicia está contando billetes y Michael Bay pide tranquilidad, escondiendose en el argumento de que no leimos el guión.

It looks like Paramount has finally learned their lesson the very, very hard way. After scuttling three movies slated for a 2012 release into 2013 -- "Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters," "World War Z" and "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" -- it seems studio executives have decided to actually read the script of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," and they don't like what they see. They really don't like it.

Even though pre-production was underway in Vancouver, with a Christmas 2013 release date planned, the studio has put "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" on indefinite hold and pushed the release date back. No word on what exactly were the issues behind the scenes, but it seems inconceivable to us that a movie about four talking turtles with martial arts skills from an alien planet (or something), with a sewer rat for a sensei, could possibly have story problems...right?

But the effects of the cancellation/hiatus on the pic have further reaching consequences.

Parece que la empresa que lo produce decidió demorarlo para que corrijan el guión.
