So many questions come to mind when something so awful comes to light......poor dog, beggars belief what he has gone through to reach this terrible condition. Hoping he improves now he is safe.

Last night I spoke to Lyn Cook of West essex gsd rescue who is going to take into rescue this boy if he is not claimed ,His 7 days to be claimed will be spent at the vets who I believe are looking after him for the week at no charge, He will then need a foster home as its not right to have to put him into kennels,If you can help either contact me or Lyn Cook ,her number is on her section.

I live two miles from Orpington and have spoken to John and left a message for Lyn about fostering this poor boy. However I may not have the right environment for him in that we do not know what he is like with other dogs and I have three of my own but do have a massive, and I mean massive (it will take three GSDs comfortably) indoor cage I can use.

:cryingtissues: Poor baby....

No animal deserves to be treated this way - what is wrong with the human (or inhuman!) race????? - you wouldnt do it to your kids so DONT do it to your animals... :voodoo:

:fingers crossed: Keeping everything crossed for you...

I spoke to Lyn yesterday who was told by the Vets that the Police had taken him in to them. It seems he should be a fairly large dog, long coated and fairly young. However they have had to shave off some of his coat because it was matted and he was covered in maggots. It is still touch and go, he is still on a drip, but is now able to lift his head and has eaten. His statutory 'seven days' will not be up until the middle of next week and he will stay at the Vets and if nothing further appears on this thread I am to contact Lyn again next Wednesday.

:fingers crossed: he makes it.

My offer to foster remains open (in fact I've already made a list of everything I will need, have looked out from my stock his own bowl, bedding etc. and have cleaned the cage!) providing my environment is right for him and those in charge of his future like me (how could you not like me, I'm lovely) as this will be my first foster!

Providing you have 'sticky up ears', four legs, a waggy tail and a sob story, I'll find room for you! :lmoa:
