Posted on behalf of, and with the kind permission of Bath Cats and Dogs Homw to whom ALL enquiries should be addressed. Meet Simba; she is a two-year-old speyed female German Shepherd that has been with us since September 2009, after arriving as a stray when she was found tied to a tree. Initially Simba appeared nervous of people but it doesn’t take her long to come around. She appears to be a one person dog and can get very attached to the point where she doesn’t want to be left so she will need work on further socialization to make her more of a ‘people’ dog rather than a ‘person’ dog. Simba enjoys her walks but is strong on the lead, so is slowly learning to walk on a halti. At present Simba is picky when out and about and is not good around ‘some’ people and smaller dogs so any new owner will need to work on this with her. She is a sweet lass once she gains your trust and has the potential to make a loving family pet. She is quiet and calm and not destructive when left. Simba is not good with other dogs, though this may be resolved with training and hasn’t mixed with cats and ideally needs to go to an experienced German Shepherd owner where any children are aged16+, Can you offer this affectionate, sweet lass a new loving home where she can feel secure and loved by all after all she has been through? If you are interested in offering a home to Simba please drop into Bath Cats & Dogs Home during their opening hours, Tuesday-Sunday 11am – 4pm with some form of ID with your name and address on it to complete some paperwork.
