The Weekly Walk this week is at Ockham Common, right next to the A3 heading south, not to far from Guildford Ockham Common, Old Lane, Effingham. Also known as Wisley Lake/Bolder Mere, nearest postcode is KT11 1ND. Just off junc 10 M25, A3 ![]() Don't forget this is rememberance Sunday. Meet from 10.30am for a 11am start. There is a cafe that serves hot and cold drinks and food AND it also has toilets for those that need them (: All dogs and owners welcome as usual, but we would ask that all owners MUST be responsible for your own dog, have an up to date dog tag with name address and phone numbers on and be insured for 3rd party liability at least. We welcome new members and dogs and positively urge them to come on the walks for their own and their dogs benefit, but we do expect owners to keep their dogs under a certain ammount of control at all times. We all come on the walks to socialise the dogs, have a natter with like minded people and have a good walk, but if you think your dog maybe aggressive to other dogs, we do ask that you muzzle it for your dogs' and other's safety, as BIGGSD will not be held accountable or responsible for any accident or fighting, with others on the walk or members of the public, if it is unpredictable we ask that you either keep it on a lead or a long line. Please be courteous and respect others by keeping an eye on your dog and being aware of what it's doing. Please keep dogs in the car or just in the woods until the start of the walk, please be aware that other people and dogs are also walk here. And dont forget we are still collecting for Ireland - any towels, blankets, duvet covers, duvets, sheets, dog beds, toys, collars, leads, mobiles and ink cartridges, euros & sterling and anything else you can think of. we are doing a surge to get all we can, so it can be taken over to the rescue's, as we are having a bit of trouble using the Irish transport and the donated stuff isn't getting out there, as regularly as we would like so please bring all you can. Members have also found neighbours are more than willing to get rid of their stuff as are charity shops! Tell them where it's going and that it's for the dogs and you never know you may get a bit of a discount! Directions are: From the A3 follow signs to Effingham. From Junction 10 of the M25 turn off to Guildford and follow signs to Effingham. The car park is the first on the left - Please drive slowly or you will miss it!! From the Effingham Junction follow Old Lane right through to the car parks. The car park from Effingham is the 3rd on the right just before you join the A3 Please pm me if you would like my phone number if you are unsure of location |

Might come along for the social but will walk out to sandy crossroads and back with Kiya as she's really not up for much more these days as you'll see. Plus any excuse for a greasy egg sarnie at the cafe. |
