Madly in love with Nigel

My neighbour had to send her darling little Springer girl, Coco, the bridge this morning RIP Darling Baby Coco ![]() Coco was 9yrs old and has been so brave in recent months. Last year she had a major operation on her rear end, but true to her form she bounced back and was wagging her tail within days ![]() as long as she had her soft toys to carry around, she was happy Then in January this year she lost her beloved brother, Poacher, suddenly to pancreatic cancer They were inseperable and she was quite lost for a while, but Jess became a good friend and would nuzzle her ears and let her sleep on Mum's couch when she often came around for supper In August this year, Coco developed a sore, red eye. Vets tried eyedrops, then a small lump under her eye appeared and quickly grew. Referred her to Glasgow Vet Hospital and CT scan showed it was Osteosarcoma (Bone Cancer) and it was serious. However they felt she was worth fighting for and so 3 weeks ago she had radical surgery and had the tumour removed.... they had to remove the right eye and part of the browbone and cheekbone. I couldn't believe how she bounced back... that brave little darling amazed me But unfortunately the cancer proved too strong... and the bleeding didn't stop. So MaryAnne, her brave Mum, let her slip peacefully to the bridge... where I hope and pray she's now frolicking around with Poacher and pleased to be with him. For MaryAnne You're an amazing Mum who fought your hardest for your baby Girl RIP Brave Coco
