FAO: WEBSITE CO ORDINATORS I am writing to ask, if you would be able to feature a GSD called Barbie for us on your website to help rehome her. Barbie is a 4yr old shepherd. She has had a terrible start in life, she started as a stray and was caught by a catch-pole, this has made her very wary of men especially with leads. We are bringing her out of this behaviour by introducing her to different men and keeping her well socialised around new people and strangers. Barbie gets very attached quite quickly but will need constant socialisation with strangers. Once Barbie knows you, she loves cuddles and is very food motivated so is willing to learn more tricks. You must use treats when meeting new people after a few she will love them. She already knows sit, paw and down and is willing to learn more. Barbie is looking for owners who have owned shepherds before so they are more aware of her behaviours and how to control them. Barbie is a well-loved girl here she gives you lots of affection and loves playing with other dogs. As you can see from these photos Barbie is a very pretty girl and we are working with her to be a lot more sociable with men and she is doing really well. Once settled Barbie would make a great pet for the right family. Our adoption fee is £75 she would have been health checked by our veterinary surgeon, assessed by experienced staff, neutered, micro chipped, vaccinated and comes with 4 weeks free pet insurance, collar and lead, a starter pack of her favourite food and on going support and advise if new owners need it. Is Barbie still looking for a home? We currently have a male GSD about 10 yrs old who is a real big softie and a male spaniel/collie cross of about two who just wants to play all day. Our previous female GSd died a few months ago and is sorely missed. We have a pub and the dogs get plenty of attention from both customers and staff so there would be constant interaction with strangers. Dog treats are always on hand and dogs are very much loved by all
