We've taken Jerry Lee in from another rescue.

This is what they had to say about him: "Jerry Lee is a 15 month old castrated boy, who just wants company and love, he wasnt socialised but since being with a foster home he has been introduced to other dogs and been fine but we have discovered he is no good with cats, Jerry Lee is nervous of new people and would be suited to a home with no children, Jerry Lee loves attention once he gets to know you and loves being groomed."

When he first arrived with at Treetops he was very nervous. He did come up to me, but looked concerned when I offered my hand for a sniff. After a brief rub under the chin, he seemed happier and let me stroke him and rub his ears. Moments later he was trying to climb onto my lap for more attention! So although nervous to start with, he is quick to make friends!

If this is the boy that Sharon had at the wittering walk, then this boy will make someone a great companion. I had chance to give him a short walk, very good on lead

I met Jerry Lee yesterday at West Wittering (yes Ron, its the same dog you liked so much yesterday)
He is an absolutely beautiful dog.
Here are a few pictures of him on the Wittering field where we had the bbq.

A ninphomaniac wot likes dog walking in the nood

Jerry is a smashing boy. As said in the first post he has not been socialised so needs to be introduced to strangers and new family members slowly and properly, this will need to be taken on board by his new family. Once he has made friends with you and it doesn't take long, he is your bestest buddy and an absolute sweetheart! (and I don't do black ones!)
He is a big boy and just wants to be loved and have affection at to pretend he's a lap dog! He acts alot like a pup but this is more than likely because he has not idea what you mean, so he thinks he will jump about like a loon until he gets what you mean! Once he has been given time to settle and he has been given boundries (that it is so important) he will be fantastic. I wouldn't think that he would be hard to train and be taught some manners, in fact, I think he will be like a sponge because he so wants to please. As suggested in the first post no kids and no cats. Oh and he was dry over night, so I'm sure he's been house trained and although he had Zara for company he was a very good quiet boy all night. He got on fine with my lot and other dogs that he saw on the wittering walk, he was just fine with as well. And although he was too nervous to go on the main walk, (lots of dogs, people, barking, shouting and the sea) he did walk along the grass field a good few times with lots of other dogs and he was great on lead.
Hopefully, he will soon find his new forever family and start being able to be the lovely good boy I'm sure he is! :GSD:

When Jerry Lee arrived he had a strange sore patch around his eye. This seems to be okay now as can be seen from this photo.

Jerry is a very enthusiastic and affectionate boy. We had a call from the kennels on Monday to say he had hurt his paw (swollen, and he wasn't walking on it). I went down on Tuesday morning to take him to the vet: having gone into his kennel it took me a whole 5 minutes before I could get him out because he was so eager to lick me, climb on me, hold me, climb on top of me, lean against me, lick me, belt me with his waggy tail ...! I then examined his paw. The swelling had disappeared and I could find nothing wrong. I felt it all over, prodded it, twisted it, pulled his toes apart and from side to side. He allowed a very full inspection and just treated it as loving attention. Whatever was wrong had cured tself, so hopefully just a minor strain: either that or an excuse for attention!

Jerry Lee has gone to his new home! :funny little things: :funny little things: :funny little things: :funny little things: :funny little things:

He's gone to Manchester to live with a very experienced family: he showed his naughty side when they first met him, but they persevered and their calm assertive manner won him over. By the time they left the kennels he had fully accepted them and he happily jumped in back of their car for the long journey home.
